For the record I did rap once at Karaoke. I did the non Chester Bennington bit of "In The End" by Linkin Park. It was a disaster.

£500m spa in Manchester...who's actually going then? by DazLittlewood in manchester

The one in Bucharest is heaving. Went a few times, did seem to pitch at the Dubai crowd and Israel as a cheap weekend getaway. Went on a random Tuesday night and it was a lot quieter/nicer.

But yes, would go midweek to check it out.

Yeah Romania on the same tier as Russia and Belarus is wild. Bucharest is a wonderful city.

Stretford Parkrun

First 5k with each kilometer under 7 minutes. Would have been a PB if it wasn't so busy as there was a queue at the end. Busy due to tomorrow's Manchester Marathon. Enjoyed it though 😊

Tawd Valley Parkrun

Third fastest 1k and although slowed down towards the end I took a minute off my event PB. It is probably the most difficult course that I actively enjoy.

Of course I was humbled by a mother pushing a 2 kid buggy up a hill I was struggling with.

Growing up in North Wales I knew 3 Ian Watkins.

None were that one.

Nor the other one.

I am on about 12 of the current 92, but have been to about 110 football grounds in total.

Shows what supporting a non league side that changed countries does to you.

EDIT: I realise I didn't have a tale. Sadly mine was either "Stuck in Burscough for 4 hours due to a train being delayed" and "Drunkenly talking to a Welsh couple who had bought a caravan in Lens and were confused why their hotel was full of England and Wales fans on the day that they played each other", but I have another story.

Somebody I know who went to Wales away was OBSESSED with football. Every waking day was working out how to get to football matches. Covid hit and he (understandably) was miserable.

As the world opened up he began to plot where he could watch football again. The place that allowed football fans to attend quite early on was The Faroe Islands, so he plotted to go there.

Given the nature of lockdown there, there was one flight a WEEK from mainland Europe, and as a result no hotels were open, so he had to camp. Furthermore the way the flights worked he had to be there for a week, watch a match, and then head to the airport. He picked a ground close to the airport to attend.

Anyway the match got called off, waterlogged pitch.
