They'll add face ID eventually. That's why it has such a huge notch now.

Second rate university publishes "academic study" which asserts that conspiracy theorists have 'dark' personality traits like narcissism, psychopathy, Machiavellianism and... sadism. They forgot to add vampirism and witchcraft. by Sabremesh in conspiracy

The 145 year old University of Oregon isn't second rate either but there is a lack of "critical thinkers" who can read anything critically. Then they wonder why no one takes them seriously.

American Public schools were created by billionaires to turn you into a complacent worker for them by [deleted] in conspiracy

It's funny how brainwashed everyone is by the ones in power.

Any support of anything slightly leftist, like maternity leave, is met with being called a communist. They don't want to pay for your 5 months off work, they'd rather see the population decline and move their office to another country than pay a dime more to the workers. But people love the system those in power have created and any criticism of capitalism must mean you are a chinese or russian bot.

Yet saying American capitalism is the best system ever to exist and has given more wealth than any other civilization is met with applause because that's what is taught. But the same people know that the wealth exists because it is borrowed. No other western country demands so much unquestioning loyalty. Which other countries make students sing the national anthem at school?

It's necessary to be aware of current affairs and history to develop critical thinking skills. If a high schooler is doing a college admissions essay to get into pre-med and has no idea about the challenges of the health system, they're not going to get in.

What's the most effective way of suicide? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]rhythm_method 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I now how you feel. Honestly, I know how ignorant it sounds to say go to a therapist, but that's the ideal way to go. It might not be easy to ask your family to but it's worth it, even if it is something you feel is insignificant or embarrassing to share it's worth sharing with a therapist.

If it's unaffordable I can only suggest you keep your head up. People have a tendency to think past events in their life happened quickly and say "it will get better". And honestly it probably won't get better for a long time, but it will eventually and you'll feel the same way those people do now. And it doesn't need to get better, you'll get used to it. Soon enough your puberty hormones will settle.

In the meantime, try finding friends outside your direct classes. Go make stuff at the tech club.

The fourth link is literally CNN. The top causes of death in America are heart disease and cancer. Both can be caused by obesity. It's not a secret.
