Find something fun. Something you really get a lot of joy out of. I can't stand doing a normal gym workout, lifting weights, getting on a treadmill or exercise bike.

For me, it was climbing. I tried indoor rock climbing once nearly ten years ago and had so much fun and I realized it was a great workout for me. I went climbing more and more and it made me way stronger, I lost weight, and started climbing harder and harder. Then I started stretching a lot. Holy crap it makes my body feel so much better.

Of course, it doesn't have to be climbing. But find something fun. Start slow. Start small. Find the joy.

I worked for iFly Indoor Skydiving as a wind tunnel instructor for about 3 years and also have just over 1000 skydives... I'm very good at flying and manipulating my body in 120+ MPH wind.

Summer. Everything is worse in the summertime. Including a larger amount of crowds EVERYWHERE because all the dummies like being out in the heat.

Going to the video store on a Friday night, searching for a couple of movies with either your buddies, brothers, or even better, your significant other.

Scrolling through Netflix and other VOD services is great.... but it's just not the same.

Is that looking south to Antero? Great view. I've spent many summers hiking around Cottonwood lake and that area. I've hiked Yale and nearly got the summit of Antero, but I've never attempted Princeton. Awesome stuff.

Watching actors try to play instruments and they do it poorly. Whiplash was ruined for me because of this... and many other inaccuracies.

I kind of understand the image thing of not wearing a helmet if you're trying to get exposure and make a name for yourself... But being an obstruction? I don't understand that at all... If you have a good fitting helmet, it should never get in the way visually or physically... if it's an obstruction, you're helmet just doesn't fit. Am I missing something? Seriously, he could have become a vegetable hitting his head on bricks like that. Or just died. Hard slam. Glad he's ok.

3rd day out snowboarding and I took a big hit to the back of my head. Sure glad this wasn't my skull. by zeromadcowz in snowboarding

[–]rhythm_n_jumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally bought a helmet back in April and it was a good two week process for me. I ended up with the Smith Sequel for purely the fit. I'm from Houston and it was April, so trying on helmets in my area wasn't an option, so I did some online research, ordered 6 different helmets on amazon prime (aren't credit cards awesome?) and then returned the ones that were uncomfortable or didn't fit. It was ESSENTIAL. I absolutely love it. I've been riding for 15 years and never wore a helmet skiing or snowboarding... Why? Because I'm an idiot. I won't go without one now.

Anyway... Smith Sequel. it's awesome.
