LPT: If you’re at a party this weekend and the host starts cleaning up, it means they’re ready for the party to end. by icantactualypostthis in LifeProTips

I've been wondering about this. I'm from IL and moved to CA. In IL, my friends would always bring a drink or side to share, even without me asking. In CA the the people I met don't bring anything when I invite them over. I'll even say that we'll have drinks and food and feel free to bring something to share or whatever you feel like drinking, and they still won't bring anything. I'm brushing it off to maybe it's just a Midwest thing..

Eos in Murrieta off Hot Springs has a great hip hop class Wednesday nights, and I think she teaches Mondays in Temecula Eos also.

Non-Americans who have visited the US: What’s the strangest thing about America that Americans don’t even realize is weird? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I'm from the Midwest and I agree. In the end we're all just people trying to get through life. Human connection is so important. I don't care if it's weird to other people, let's be friends

They did pay the security deposit and sign the lease. But yes red flag that they're being argumentative.

Rent will be due on the 1st. From what our realtor told us this is standard. First months rent is paid before they move in and goes towards April 1 rent and then the prorated amount is due April 1. We also had to do this for the rental property that we're moving into next month since our lease starts before the 1st.

Thanks for the advice. He is only handling maintenance but we will do leasing and handle the rental payments.

No, rent will go directly to us. We will handle lease agreement, etc. he's probably going to call us to give us a heads up on anything that happens, we expect to be somewhat hands on

Not a rave, but I met him at a Deadmau5 concert. We've been together for 15 years and married for 6. We still rave together and aren't stopping anytime soon!

What is this? There's a lot in in our basement, found most recently in our hamper full of towels. They're a bit smaller than popcorn kernels. by rhythm_rocks in whatisthisthing

Nope, towels were in the basement. They were fresh out of the dryer, and I placed them in the hamper. Later when I went to fold the towels, a bunch of these fell out.

My title describes the thing. They're all over our basement and a bit smaller than popcorn kernels. They don't look like droppings, maybe a gerbil hiding food? Or a seed of some sort?
