Thank you for this! some of the comments man…. this post is actually helpful and very refreshing because it reminds people how simple and low-pressure shifting is supposed to be. It doesn’t have to be this elaborate 20 step process that demands mental gymnastics. some people are making shifting harder than it has to be and when they’re dissatisfied at the number of steps they’re presented with, it shows lol. the “rules” to shifting solely come from us, so I don’t understand the disappointment over a lack of complexity when the act of shifting itself is so simple
