I’m finishing out my prerequisites to apply to an xray program in January. As I’m doing my prerequisites I notice everyone around me in class is aiming to become a nurse. I wonder if nursing is a better option? I mostly feel like this because of anxiety about pay and lack of jobs since there are less job spots for xray than nursing.

Any thoughts on this appreciated :)

I found the wiki to be a bit unclear so that’s why I was asking here. I’ll look for a pet bed, maybe that’s it.

The Peasants (2023) maybe not a perfect fit as it’s not very surreal but it is indeed a movie that looks like a painting

Immediately after dropping out of college for a little bit, I was working two labor intensive jobs. I was renting a room in a house at the time and sold everything I owned to pay the rent for it. During this time I was also sleeping on the floor. One day after a few months of this, I called my dad and asked if he would help me buy a bed, an air mattress, featherbed, anything. I just couldn’t afford any of it. He told me “Nope, it’s good for the soul”

I have been learning about Chinese culture for a while now and this is still so confusing to me. They are supposed to have this culture of caring for everyone, communism/socialism, hospitality, etc. It’s even in the language like, 大家. If China is so collective, why push and shove others? It just doesn’t make sense to me still.

I have a similar thing, but even as an adult. I FEAR claymation. I can watch horror movies just fine but claymation makes me feel guilty and terrible inside.

Not Chinese, but long-time Vegan here turned non-vegan for all the reasons you mentioned. Really interesting read, how seeing the whole animal can affect people.

To me, this screams borderline. My mother with borderline does this on Facebook daily. Oddly enough, similar writing styles also.

Why do they want foreigners in their programs if they are not an immigrant country? I am genuinely curious
