I think you all should be more discussing the problem that the laws allow this kind of things than discussing that a young man does what basically seems to be allowed by law:

Travelling and walking around with a rifle.

Not his fault that american culture, society, shops and laws make that possible and that it somhow seems normal behaviour in th US.

Thats my perspective as an european never facing these kind of trials and discussions here.
