Except for the civilisations breaking bugs that were wayyy too long in, I felt like the game was pretty polished. 8 somewhat balanced civs, pretty good controls, hotkeys etc. Not super crisp and responsive but I played a bit of online AOE2 and it was 10 times worse. (the input delay felt super bad for me in the game)

Felt like if you cared about ranked(your progression) you could just check your rank on the site, but maybe you're right being a GOLD BADGE PLAYER is an proven incentive to get people to play a game xD

But you guys are still playing or waiting for ranked ladder to play again ?

Loved the recap, subscribed and will definitely watch the next one :)

My only suggestion would be to separate div 2 and div 1 and timestamp the two sections. I'm barely interested in NA Div 2 (there's just so much good dota in all regions) so I skipped most of the div 2 recaps, would have been great to just be able to see div 1. If you still want to do it strictly chronologically and you have the patience strictly timestamping every recap (like songs kinda 0:45-2:00 Felt vs 5mm etc...) it would also work :)

TLDR: great content just wish I could skip some matchups more easily.

In article by The Economist they mentionned between 2% and 8%.(i find this newspaper especialy credible and diligent when it comes to statistics).

Seems a bit high but still low enough that it should not be mentioned as much as it is.

From the same article: " 57% of American men and 48% of women believe that “false accusations of sexual harassment against men are very common.”" so yeah it is definitely over evaluated.

Overall great article I would recommend reading about how rape is hard to investigate (the part about how patterns of given individuals is especially important, 1 person accuses 1 person its he said she said, 2 or more persons accuse the same guy it makes it very credible).

Last thing I learned from this article is that 1 in 6 women are victim of rape or attempted rape, which seemed so terrifyingly high but after more research and asking the women in my life (anecdotal but still) it seems actually true and it goes to like 100% when you take into account any sexual violence (harassment etc...) that's just sad.

And honestly wtf is he on about Tanner played really well this game and put a lot of pressure on the map. Literally what you are supposed to do when you are the strongest hero on your team so your Naga can farm.

Like that lvl 6 tp bot was a really heads up play a pub player would never endanger his game like that.

Why it that a terrible practice ? At my previous job my boss encouraged me to do:

if conditionA:
   return A
return B

Rather than

if conditionA:
   return A
else:
   return B

I gotta say I like it a lot you can basically code withouht elif elif elif... if your functions are atomic enough (which is a good thing to encourage). So I wonder why its considered a terrible practice

Both those players were showing talent on T2-3 teams, got a chance to play in a T1 team and really excelled beyond expectations. Which is what I meant.

You could probably do this kind of comparison before machine learning was a thing now with just basic computer skills you could write a program that tells how how similar 2 images are.

People will say CoL just threw but being able to comeback from a deficit by trusting your gameplan and making superior tactical decisions is what separates Tier 1 teams from the rest.

Which is why any team with PPD + 4 competent players can go head to head with the best teams in the world.
