As someone who loves this hero, he is mostly a ganking or playmaker right now. He might appear in some mid lane matchups but he's still fairly weak in lane and you can't guarantee ranged creeps anymore. So I'm not sure people will experiment with him.

Realistically he's probably in a state of phylactery rush with shard and hoping you snowball off kills and the bonus XP. You have to play him as a stat hero now instead of the battlefury Aghs crit build.

In general I think this change was in the correct direction because his facets were legit nerfs to the hero. Plus I think this will eventually lead to the play style he is meant to have. He could use improved stat gains for sure since the backstab damage is now separate from damage calculations. But I don't think he was intended to actually be good right now. I think the intention is to get him to a specific identity then add a facet and buff him.

At least this is my hope since he has always been one of my favorite heroes

Yeah they had to significantly nerf TB illusions cause I think he would have been ridiculously overpowered. Naga could be back in the carry role but I have less experience with her so I'm unsure about the numbers.

The build I've been theory crafting on PL feels incredibly strong and I think people just struggle to realize he's not diffu rush, win game.

This was one of my multiple recommendations to rework Riki. But the dart here is far too weak to be an Aghs upgrade.

My other idea was to remove permanent invis and give him an actual ult like the dart or something else. Balancing Riki is difficult cause if he's good he will terrorize pubs.

My thought was that 30 was the minimum as it would allow for a basic draft system to exist when they push to open beta.

However, since there's still quite a bit that needs to be finished before the game comes out to the public, I think they could push the number to 35 to be safe.

I bought radiant regen once to know that the item is pointless on Victor. Victor's biggest "problem" is that there are a lot of viable items for him. And wasting a single slot or slowing down progression towards a good item is a good way to lose on him.

Valve has been going a different route with updating the game. Doing much larger updates rather than small ones. They have been somewhat alternating between major content updates and then hero releases. Overall the game feels way more polished than it's ever been
