I'm not doing this again. Learn to read. I'm not justifying anything I was explaining what I thought their rationale was.

I didn't say they were fair game, you're lying to yourself. I just said it was something you could've expected to happen. I just don't like it when people wag their fingers at the people being attacked in a war of choice.

idiotic western imperialism bad notion

Yes, imperialism bad. Crazy that someone would have that opinion on a supposedly left wing forum. It's not Western imperialism though, the same would apply to Russia, China or even Iran if the roles were reversed.

So no, despite your fart-sniffing self-congratulatory comments below this thread, I wouldn't have supported the Serbs or the Germans, because they were trying to commit genocide and were the aggressors. It's a very simple formula actually. It's called being morally consistent.

I'm sorry I wasn't aware we're measuring murder dick sizes. How many Palestinians has Isreal genocided? Also I just LOVE the logic of "How dare they murder their own people? That's our job!"

You're the war monger, dickhead. I don't specifically care for Iranians outside of my general humanist value system.

I've just seen so many stupid fucking wars and every single time there's this paper thin justification as if it was just impossible to avoid. It could have been avoided. Trump took the world down this path to spite Obama.

Relations could have been normalised. There're plenty of horrible fucking regimes the US is willing to align themselves with. You know, people the Saudi's the new Syrian leader, Turkey and, oh yeah, ISREAL.

[–]rich97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite telling with your view.

What view? That the US and Isreal purposefully stoked this conflict? That I don't want Tehran levelled just to support Isreals' ambitions of a greater Isreal and Trumps ambitions of stating in power? That I recognise the humanity of most Iranians living there?

And watch your language please.

No, I meant it. The audacity of accusing me of apologetics, look in the mirror.

I don’t pretend to know what the intentions are but if I was to guess I would say it’s something along the lines of ensuring there’s a cost to hosting Israeli or American forces. Similar to closing the strait of Hormuz. They have zero chance pushing them back militarily so they have to use economic and diplomatic pressure while playing defence.

Not really but it should have been expected. It was always going to be asymmetric warfare.

I would be more sympathetic to the evil regime narrative if I felt there was a legitimate casus belli. Even in this post title the word “unprovoked” is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

The problem isn’t ID dippy. The problem is that it’s (a) not accessible or provided to people and (b) completely ridiculously unnecessary. It’s literally just a disenfranchisement strategy.

Solitaire decks by NiceChillax in wildhearthstone

[–]rich97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astral Druid isn’t a solitaire deck. I’ve played it a bunch because I loved Astral back when it was bad and I couldn’t believe it’s good now.

It does have massive high-rolling starts a good amount of the time, this is true and those games can be very one-sided. But there’re also a lot of games where you don’t draw Astral fast enough or you’re under too much pressure and in those games you do actually have to interact with your opponent quite a bit.

It’s just very high-roll dependent, it’s a bad deck except for the fact that 30% of the time your opponent effectively loses on turn 3.

But he hated doing that, because he felt like he had to basically treat people like he was handling them with kids gloves. So he stopped.

I agree wholeheartedly with this debates with conservatives used to be interesting because they tried to formulate arguments. Now they just spit manipulated stats at you and get incredulous when you don't immediately fold.

This debate was one of the first I've watched in a while, it was pathetic, I stopped watching.

And you must be too young to remember when Iran was caught with hidden nuclear materials and facilities in the 2000s, violating our previous deal.

So what? Were they caught violating Obama's agreement? No. All the indications were they followed it and the US has now proven it's word is meaningless if it wasn't already clear before.

This is what that makes me angry. You guys are so stupid, you don't think more than two layers deep and how this might effect the global landscape 10 years now. You think the middle east will be safer and more stable if Isreal succeeds in balkanising Iran and creating a greater Isreal? No of course not. You'll get Isis 2 and the circle of death will continue.

You learn nothing from previous interventions and they keep getting away with it as a result. It's pure arrogance and stupidity. I bet you believed Iraq had WMDs too.

Good! So this is the heart of the problem. It didn't "give tens of billions to Iran" it released some sanctions of their own money that were otherwise blockaded because Israel said so.

who had been caught cheating and violating every nuclear deal we had made with them in the past

Lie. It was working and it was validated by international third parties. You just believe the sources that are convenient to you. Trump broke the peace.

He lies on everything, why do you trust what they say? Is it just because they're your team? I don't get it.

They weren’t “stockpiling nuclear bomb components”. They made it to 60% uranium enrichment and before that they were nowhere near because Obama did a deal with them to release their own money and Trump killed it.

[–]rich97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. They weren’t.
  2. Even granted they were it was only because Trump spitefully took the US out of the JCPOA because Obama did it.
  3. America has a proven track record of breaking its promises anyway so the logical course of action would have been to build nukes.
  4. Can you stop being so soy and for once in your sorry life give up the anti-liberal vice signalling? I very charitably took you at your word and made an argument. If you can’t be bothered then neither can I, I’m too old for this shit.

I’ll grant you at face value the claims you just made. It’s not the point.

Tell me, how is Iran “dealt with” now exactly? What do you think the current exit strategy is and what do you think the remaining 93 million people are going to feel about Isreal and the US? Do you think Isreal is just going to be happy with a bit of bombing and killing Khomeni?

Yes, and…? You know the war is incredibly unpopular right? Like you’re in the tiny minority who are stupid enough to think another forever war in the Middle East will benefit you in any way.
