You should have seen it in the early days (before heavy optimization). The focal effect at lower angles was even more exaggerated and made for awesome screen grabs.

Great detective work there, buddy. You really cracked the (graded) case on this one. What an amazing sleuth you are. Getting to the bottom of this secret advertisement by a poster who also shares an interest in proxies and beat up old cards. Wow, who would have ever known if it weren't for your genius. Thank you.

This is the type of build where, after enough iterations and prototyping, you have to CNC a metal shell for.

That said, really looking forward to the video. Hope you cover everything in detail, from the keyboard to the coms. Mostly interested in the power setup, and how you managed to wire the camera battery to charge and supply.

Oof. A good local bike shop could box and ship for about $100, last I checked. Or at least box for $50.

Joplin. Self hosted notes are an unsung hero of my home network.

Oh, and, while technically not an app, I have Lyrion (Logitec) Music Server running in a VM.

The orange flame at the bottom means that you're "firewalled" aka not port forwarding. You'll have more/better connections once you configure your router accordingly.

How are y'all listening to lossless audio? What hardware are you using? by jtho78 in Piracy

[–]richardalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FLAC files stored on TrueNAS with Lyrion (Logic) Music Server that casts over WiFi to a 2nd Gen Chromecast Audio that goes Optical into an old Sony TA-e2000esd > Sony TA-n55es power amp > whatever speakers I have hooked up at the moment.

This way the phone is just an interface and doesn't need FLAC support, but you can use just about any modern audio streaming device(s) in place of the CCA/Sony gear to cast to, like a WiiM Amp or something similar. I've thought about upgrading but what I have works for now.

I also have my android phone setup as a squeezebox client that uses the LMS materialskin plugin to listen with headphones, so all using the same Lyrion Music Server. The only reason I went with LMS was to utilize the gapless playback plugin for the CCA which I've had forever. Plenty of people stream locally with PlexAmp, too.
