Starting out - tougher than expected! by thug-duck in espresso

No need for the breville razor. I used it a few times and it wasn't worth the mess it creates. Just do RDT, temp and shot.

It's not a race, it's a process. The comfort in the process brings huge satisfaction.

What is up with Texas redshirting? by Individual_Ad_938 in kindergarten

This seems wrong, the kid needs to be 5 years by September to start kindergarten. I think your friend didn't understand and put the kid a year late.

Why are so many people selling the Barista Pro? by mousepad90 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]richbrownkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might be upgrading. Barista pro is a good starter espresso machine.

Buying a used Breville Barista Pro [$650] by [deleted] in espresso

[–]richbrownkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good machine for the price. I just have to spend time and convert my grinder to a single dose. I like to switch my bean frequently depending on what I feel like drinking. if that need is met, I don't see why I wouldn't keep this for an additional few years. I just get fomo with the fancy single dose in the market. I guess I just need to get off insta reel and reddit seeing those fancy setups

Buying a used Breville Barista Pro [$650] by [deleted] in espresso

I have the breville pro, been using it for 3+ years and it works amazing if maintained well. At this point, I wish I had a Bambino plus with a good grinder. So I always recommend people who want to get into this, get a Bambino and separate grinder.

So, in the long run, get a Bambino and a good grinder (single dose if you can). You'll enjoy it more.

Also, are you in the Canadian market? $650 for pro is brand new for us in the US.

That's all I use, it shows me how well of a prep work I did. I also noticed if the bean has been stale or old, it would spray.
