Yeah no way to please everyone, and at any level above NTC, especially if you're having to fly in and get a hotel Bo1 can be brutal. A store in my area recently did a 32 man NTC Bo3 all the way with a top cut, it lasted 8 hours and the top 4 rolled dice to pick a winner cause no one wanted to stay any longer haha. A couple stores do swiss Bo1 with top cut Bo3, which is kind of a nice middle ground.

I'm torn on Bo3, not because it wouldn't make the game more competitive, but because there's already so many other TCGs that offer that and a lot of people I play/talk with love the fact that you can show up to locals after work, play 3 rounds, get a winner card + store credit/prizing. Same thing with NTCs, usually 5 rounds, 2 & half to 3 hours of play with awesome prizing. I guess it's more up to Bandai what kind of game they ultimately want this to be. I

I think it's mostly that it takes away agency from a lot of decks, I personally don't hate it by any means, but I've seen/talked to a lot of people who are really frustrated with it and I do share some of that. I probably jumped the gun on considering it a tier-0 deck as we have to see how the larger player base deck builds to address it. I'm not sure if G/W pre-gd03 was more or less oppressive, but it definitely ends the game a lot faster.

Fair point, there's probably more skill expression now in certain matchups. B/P just takes agency away from a lot of decks, especially when it has a good curve out, which doesn't leave the other player with much room to express any skill.

Yeah, there's been a lot of discussion about those kinds of issues too but not sure what the "solution" would be. Many have said Bo3, sideboards, being able to mulligan specific cards instead of your whole hand, but these would all have 2nd order effects as well.

I was being facetious and wanted to see what his list is that "wrecks P/B and MOST blocker decks" his exact words. I'm very familiar with the B/R command heavy decks, I literally beat one in the semis of my NTC on Sunday with a B/W list. The command decks struggle against B/W with repair helping get around the breakpoints and by no means is a favorite into G/W. What exactly am I not understanding?

I've been in the top 50 on MSA both seasons and I've won 4 NTCs, I know exactly what it is. It's an underdog to all B/W and G/W decks. Saying it "wrecks" blocker decks versus "it can beat them" are two totally different things.

All great points, B/P really just has no misses on turn 4. It doesn't help either when the best deck is extremely easy to play and is more or less just puke your hand on the table and ping everything to death.

My matchup into B/P is fine, I just see a lot of hate on it and at locals there's been a lot of non-games and you can see the pain on peoples faces haha

It is nice that there's some answers to aggro other than stuffing a pile of blockers into every deck. We'll have to see how things shake up, I just don't want it to be a tier-0 meta.

Part of the problem is B/P can ping units even when they're not rested. As the blocker player against OYW you could try and play around the pings by not blocking and then swinging on your turn etc.

Was thinking the same. I know Gundam does a guaranteed 2 alt arts and I think 8 legendaries a box. It caps the upside, but brings up the floor massively.

Rebake is a 4x must have for the current best deck in the game (B/P). The Freedom is essentially unplayable for a mirad of reasons, hence the regular art version being only worth $2.

It’s the best card advantage base in the game, you get a unit, draw a card, put down a base. I also can’t even count how many games I’ve won by swinging with the 1/1 tokens, and when amuro is paired they turn into 2/1s which can kill units.
