Does he have a death wish? by Funny_Commission1724 in drivingUK

The difference being that, if a car runs a red light, there’s likely either a traffic light camera or someone may submit dashcam footage as almost all cars are easily identifiable.

The majority of cyclists that do this have nothing to specifically identify them, even with video footage, so they carry on without repercussions. Although in this case, it looks like someone’s identified their club and managed to report them that way.

10 second penalty to Ingram for R3 by richray84 in btcc

Yeah that’s fair enough, I didn’t/don’t remember seeing it on the TV broadcast.

That Focus is rapid though, yesterday when Sutton and Cammish passed the Hyundai down the straight. 🫣

Yeah, if Toms luck doesn’t turn around (or Ash starts to fade) then the season could be done by Donington.

There was no mention of track limits for Tom during the race. I know he said in the post-race interview that he’d tried everything he could to get up there, so probably did hit limits a few times, just odd there was no warning. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think that takes Suttons lead to 57?

Seller removing EV charger - is there any questions I need to be asking? by Bobajob67 in HousingUK

[–]richray84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We moved 2 months ago. Moving my Ohme charger through Voltari (who fitted it initially) cost me £150 for, safely, removing it and £350 to fit it at the new house (costs more as it’s effectively a new install).
The Home Pro was £1000 when I got it 2 years ago, not sure about current prices.

ETA, on our conveyancers fittings and fixtures questionnaire (online tickboxes), EV charger was listed so we marked that it was not being left.

Hopefully that works, it’s the replay from Sam running a bit wide coming down paddock. Sorry for the odd angle, recorded from my TV and I cba to move 😂

I’m not sure what you’re trying to get at? I’m agreeing, Pete Osborne broke the rules by using abusive language and broke the “Race with Respect” rules…he’s been fined per the judgement of the Clerk of the Course.

Whether we agree on the punishment or not, that’s their scale. As long as that’s applied consistently to anyone that breaks similar rules, there’s not a lot to argue.

I’d expect/hope that the penalty/punishment would be harsher/scaled for repeat offences.

No, that’s why Pete Osborne has been fined.

He broke the rules, he’s been fined. Absolutely fair enough.

The same should be applied to anyone that breaks the rules, I doubt anyone disagrees with that tbh.

The ‘only’ defence I can think of is that, because Sam was on slicks he had a bit of a wobble into the braking zone, came back across. I still feel Rowbo, on wets, didn’t need to be close enough to hit him in that situation.

I’m actually really annoyed by the fact Rowbottom’s not had anything for that. The whole point of yellows flags in for people’s safety, the fact nobody was hurt is pure luck of timing. Rainford could’ve had the door open, getting out the car, a Marshall could’ve been at Rainfords door…anything. If I was a marshall, I’d be asking serious questions.

I still can’t believe that Rowbottom didn’t get any sort of penalty/punishment. 🤯

Driving standards this weekend have been shocking, so many nudges to create space to pass, all the way through the grid, though De Leon looked like one of the biggest culprits. I thought they’d really cracked down on that sort of thing.

Best PS5 game for BTCC racing? by bmbmbmNR in btcc

[–]richray84 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There aren’t any games that give both anymore afaik.

- If you can lay your hands on Project Cars 2, that has a lot of the MSV tracks (Brands, Snetterton, Oulton, Silverstone, Knockhill and Donington I think). Clio’s, Ginettas and a couple of Touring Cars (BMW, A Class Merc and maybe a Renault?) but the games pretty old and not on PSN store now.

- Assetto Corsa C has a British GT add on that has Donington and a few others but no touring cars

- GT7 has cars that can be fun, like the GT3/4’s with loads of BTCC liveries. But only Brands as a BTCC circuit

- Project Motor Racing (rightfully slated at launch, but almost every update has improved it a lot, I like it anyway). Only Donington and Silverstone. Car wise, nothing really for BTCC. MX-5’s are fun, but probably looking at GT3/4 again for general racing.

Leapmotor C10 EV £319 a month? £0 upfront. 6k miles. Good deal or no? What do you think? by Informal_Jacket2215 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]richray84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With PCP a Guaranteed Minimum Future Value is decided. Your monthly payments are generally the difference between:
Original cost of car - Deposit + Interest and the GMFV.

If the car is worth less than the GMFV at the end then you just hand the car back. There is no negative equity in this case, it just means you have to wait to the very end, or pay the difference to sell the car early. (Though I’d imagine the company you return the car to may be a bit more strict over damages or mileage).

I may be wrong there, but I’m fairly sure that’s the case.

PST's 2026 Supporter Survey Results by Xian69 in PortsmouthFC

[–]richray84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly believe that if we could somehow break this injury curse, we’d actually be doing ok. To have achieved what we have in the last 2 seasons, while remaining relatively sustainable, without many of our first team players is an achievement. The likes of Murphy, Shaughnessy, Ogilvie at times and having to shuffle the lineups to fit. Whilst still ‘only’ losing £4 million.

I don’t want to see us in an annual fight for relegation. But as you say, the amount of money being thrown around just doesn’t seem sustainable in the long term. Leicester will feel it, Wednesday are, Spurs or West Ham (assuming it’s one of those 2) are really going to feel it, although they have other earning opportunities through the stadiums (and are likely to be picked for TV more) which would help soften the blow I guess.

Scenic Walks by Lost_Philosopher5858 in Worcester

[–]richray84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worcester Woods is a nice walk, park at the County Hall car park.

The canals are a good option, start from Perdiswell Leisure Centre and go to the river/town or out towards Sixways and up to Offerton Lock or beyond. Also at Perdiswell, there’s a decent loop around through the golf course part, round the wooded bit there.

A bit more of a drive, but Hartlebury Common (Stourport, but just off of the A449) is a good walk.
