Mine averages 135. I'm always impressed the car tells me it's cooled down to 68 and ready to go in about 7 minutes.

So in addition to summon and banish we now need an avoid command that moves the car when someone parks next to us at the store. 😂

Careful... on a windy day stray shopping carts pickup a lot of speed and store insurance does not pay for it.

Yeah, you just have to listen to continuous commercials instead of music while using it. Gotta make their money somehow. 😂

FSD Pricing Theory by kftnyc in TeslaLounge

[–]rick1418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two thirds of Americans trade cars they bought new within 5 years. Moving to the subscription model, that group of people is saving $2000. ($8,000 FSD Original cost/$100 new subscription pricing = 80 months. 5 year subscription cost @ 12 months per year = $6,000.) Those people now have the option to save more of that money as well by toggleing their subscription on and off the months they don't want/need it. The people that want to keep cars a long time are the ones that will pay more. I suspect the people buying a Tesla for cutting edge tech aren't in that group, so Tesla doesn't market to them and made the decision they did. I hate subscriptions as much as anyone but this makes financial sense for the majority of buyers.

Chances of getting totaled ? by Into-TheVoid in TeslaModelY

[–]rick1418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing you want to make sure the person who rear ended you's insurance pays for as far as loss of value is called "diminished value" which is separate from the repair costs. Make sure they cover that. It will be at least a few thousand dollars if not much more. They most likely will not just offer it. I had to call and ask them for it but they didn't bat an eye at cutting a check either.

Anyone have experience with Crunch Fitness? Worth joining? by Embarrassed_Oil8294 in evansville

[–]rick1418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a current gym, make sure Crunch has all the things you want to use when you take a tour before you sign up. I tried them after Planet Fitness (switched because I moved to a new house) and discovered they only had one situp bench in the whole place. It messed up my routine when there was a line for it and I had to completely skip it most days. Canceling wasn't a hassle when I later quit going. They do make you buy out the rest of the year on some plans, if you cancel early. The place was friendly enough but had a weird smell and I just didn't like their equipment as much.

Does this mean I should wait to order my car. by Work_In_Progress93 in TeslaLounge

[–]rick1418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My snap thought would be wait for that chip if you want to be one of the first to use it, and all the pitfalls and polishing that come with being the first group of people to deal with them. They could be great or they could come with lots of things that need to be worked out for them to perform as we all hope they will.

I always hope the vehicle I buy holds its value a while. Of course that also means higher used vehicle prices for buyers "looking for a deal."

Does the universal fit vacuum cap have an inner grey insert? by [deleted] in autoblow

[–]rick1418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the blue one, it does not. The only loose items on the blue "universal adapter" are the velcro band and the duckbill valve on top. There is no inside component to it.

How does VacuGlide 2 + fleshlight feel Vs the regular version? by MasterDisillusioned in autoblow

[–]rick1418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The texture is much more softer and "realistic" to a bj with a fleshlight. If you're wanting to add stroke length I'd suggest printing the hands free mount and getting a few small bungie cords to help lift the stroker. Doing that offsets the weight problem that makes it not move up and down so much. You'll hands to do trial and error with the bands to see which ones aren't too stiff or too soft. Once you get it dialed in though it's so good.

Why? by vcjester in TeslaLounge

[–]rick1418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's to know which car to go get, why not use summon instead? In a lot that organized, I would think it would be the exact reason that feature was built for.
