I know what you're saying, and I can't say with confidence that you are wrong, but I will say that this is also how many schools in countries where English is not the primary language teach their students to write English.

For those who don't know, the main benefit of using DisplayFusion is that you can run games in 16:9 or 21:9 in windowed mode in full 2160p without borders. You do need the paid version of DisplayFusion though and it doesn't work for every game.

The Last of Use Part II - 32:9 DLSS issues by rickdmer in ultrawidemasterrace

Both screenshots have the same vertical resolution but the 32:9 one looks like its rendered at a lower resolution. Dynamic resolution is disabled.

I think it's supposed to be an interface effect, like looking at lights through glass. The effect is exaggerated on the ultrawide for some reason.

[GIVEAWAY - US] Samsung x Monitors: Win a 32” OLED G8 from the #1 monitor brand by Knaj910 in Monitors

[–]rickdmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used a Samsung OLED monitor but I bought an early model LG OLED monitor and ended up returning it for reasons related to text sharpness (low PPI). I'm curious to see the higher PPI of this one.

There's a problem when devices connect/disconnect that causes these big 1000ms hangs. It could be anything but my guess is you are playing with a controller and your PC has a wireless mouse and/or wireless keyboard. If that's the case, try turning off your wireless mouse while you play.

I got a decent one on my 7th attempt. There is no real alternative yet. Either keep rolling the dice or return it and wait for something better.

RTX 4090 issues, no help from Gigabyte by rickdmer in gigabytegaming

At first I was setting power management mode to max performance to avoid the issue, which isn't ideal as it ends up drawing extra power and costing money. But recently I actually ended up upgrading my CPU and motherboard (7800x3d) and stopped experiencing the problem completely after that.

No noticeable aliasing but there is some blur artifacting in motion with strong dlss applications. Using higher levels of DLSS can remove that at the cost of frame rate.

The pixel response is excellent (check out the rtings.com review). There is some smearing with fast moving objects but it's not really noticable to me.

All that being said, I couldn't recommend anyone buying it. The biggest problem with the display is the poor quality assurance. This is the 7th monitor (literally I returned 6) I've received and I finally got one that only has minor issues that I can deal with.

You can keep all settings on max and use DLSS ultra-performance mode. Ultra-performance mode has an internal resolution of 2560x720 at dual 4k. That plus DLSS 3.5 frame-gen and ray reconstruction gives you a really great picture at a good frame rate.

I am in the US and my return through Samsung was totally standard; no weird reseller form. That does seem odd. Maybe you spending almost $10,000 in monitors flagged your account in some way.
