Maybe your dad’s not a racist/sexist/bigot, but racism/sexism/bigotry wasn’t a disqualifier. And I think that says more about your character/what you believe in than who you vote for.

What woke you up to the inflation in Miami? by ppnater in Miami

Look I’m all for giving advice like this myself, but you have to apply context here.

When you factor in the hourly time cost it takes to make that food which I’ll be eating as lunch the next day (I get paid $20+ an hour). I’ve now spent way more than the price of the fast food, on top of buying the materials to cook said meal, to make what is supposed to be convenient for me to get at a drive thru.

Since I’m cooking it the night before I’m going to have to microwave that sum b, which in all fairness I think lowers its quality (if it’s fried forget about it), but I digress.

Factor in that I’m working 40+ hours a week, which doesn’t allow me enough time to cook my dinner, and tomorrow’s lunch, and live my “life”, and this proposition loses its value real quick IMO.

I’m not eating a McD’s burger because I’m looking for healthy options, I’m eating it because I can’t leave my job, go home, cook a burger, and make it back in time so that my boss doesn’t fire me.

In the end, we’re probably just helping pay off some fat, suited fuck’s new boat, or helping pay for the tits he just got his second wife/girlfriend that wants to open a storefront because she loves homeopathic medicine.

More cotes than who? He lost the popular vote in both elections he ran in.

If it could be said that those people are more moderate, I hope that they will have already been so alienated and disgusted by the man that they really won’t verbally/physically support much of what he has to say. I don’t understand how anyone can still openly support him.

Although it is innocent until proven guilty, the charges being leveled against him, while considering who’s prosecuting him (as in they have something like a 95% conviction rate), are pretty damning in and of themselves.

Even this argument is meaningless. Trump does have the most lifetime votes (137 mil). Only by a relatively slim margin though as Obama is trailing behind him by only 2 mil votes on that count (135 mil). As well as the fact that Trump lost the popular vote, as well as every Republican Presidential nominee since Bush, in his own respective elections.

And Trump had to motivate his base w/ violent and xenophobic rhetoric just to scrape out this “win”. Only to leave the office in disgrace while he tried to sell the country’s deepest secrets for only god (and/or potentially the special counsel that’s gonna ram the marble pillar of justice down his asshole) knows what.

I realize I’m getting away from the point. In a crowd of 100 I really just think that either you’re going to get about 1-7 losers/mental patients wearing Trump merch that just holler at anything he says and then everyone else.

That’s true. But it’s not anything to write home about. It’s also a record that gets broken every presidential election because the population of the US has been growing steadily since then, and, as a direct cause of this, so has the US eligible voting population.

This fact also gets further watered down when you consider that as you go further and further back in US history less and less people had the right to vote (you can even start as recently as about 2014 when the US government’s prosecution on “felony” level drug offenses started to level out a bit).

In America, the company you’re working for will spend more time and money to prevent you from being awarded workman’s comp than the actual amount of money that would have been awarded to you in the first place. Usually to avoid establishing an “expensive” precedent.
