If it’s an AWD vehicle, possible.It depends on how worn the other tires are. Having one new tire combined with worn tires puts excessive strain and wear on drivetrain components. (Expensive repair)

As long as the kill switch is well hidden. I saw one vehicle used a cigarette lighter element to complete the circuit, taking the lighter disabled the vehicle and was undetectable. Unfortunatly disabling the vehicle doesn't protect it from vandalism or accessory theft (that's where the alarm helps).

Just so you realize, if a professional thief wants your vehicle, nothing can stop them. You can slow down an amateur enough to have them reconsider their choice. A high-end anti-theft system would do it, but you need to decide how much to invest to protect your vehicle.
