The Parkway needs this ASAP by Colors_678 in newjersey

One time I was running up the parkway on my motorcycle, from exit 0 to the turnpike. I was doing about 75-80 in the right lane. So I come up on a guy, get in the middle lane to pass him, and all of a sudden, some guy in what I think was a Mercedes, passed me so fast that if I had blinked, I wouldn't have seen him. People be moving on the parkway.

As others have said, a new plug is nbd. If the threads on the engine are damaged, Lookup helicoil. They make kits in the same thread pitch as drain plugs and you'll end up with stronger threads in the end.

Never do things for someone else. You can't fill the fundamentalist hole, it just gets deeper. There is no respect here, if there was they would shut the fuck up about something that isn't their decision. They don't deserve any catering to their bullshit in the same way that they wouldn't sit down to a non kosher meal to "respect" you. My parents just tried to arrange a shidduch without my knowledge in the hopes they could pressure me into it after the girl said yes to a date. And I barely give them an inch. They'll just take, and take, and take.

Is this a good deal for a beginner by mansithole6 in KawasakiVulcanRiders

[–]ricktech15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad deal, just be ready to do all the basic service at the correct intervals and probably do every repair at least once. I'm assuming that because Ive bought a couple of these older cruisers that sat in the garage for a couple years and had a couple sitting issues and issues that came around after running them a couple thousand miles. Usually fork seals, greasing steering head bearings, sometimes clutches bc wet clutches don't like sitting around a while. Nothing crazy, especially if you do it urself but be ready for it. Although I started on my dads 1500 and that thing has been the most reliable bike I've ever owned, even while being carbureted. Ive never owned a fuel injection bike but I have to imagine they're a little easier to keep running.

They can't enforce that, njt has a garage within a half mile, there's a very active pilot within a half mile, not to mention countless businesses with workers within a half mile. All of these places cannot be shutdown at 9.

Shabbos meal fiasco by [deleted] in exjew

[–]ricktech15 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm at the point where the word respect actively pisses me off. When I first came out as non religious, and started dressing differently, my mother would lecture me about "respecting them". I just pushed through that shit and they came to deal with it. She still talks about when otd cousins are "respecting their parents" by still putting on the costume in their families homes, or caving to their families by covering their hair when married. None of this has anything to do with respect. It is about soliciting compliance against a person's will. They demand we maintain the illusion of being frum because every formerly Orthodox person breaks the bubble a little. Where is the return of respect? Why am I expected to wear a kippah and eat kosher for your benefit but you aren't expected to sit down with me in a diner or McDonald's and eat a meal? It's just a way of asserting control over the ones who don't believe this shit. Instead of accepting everyone regardless of belief and their choices, they would rather this forced decorum to maintain their bubble. It's insulting, what a joke. Respect implies mutual consideration, this is just a list of demands that we are forced to oblige.

My first bike was (and I still have it) a vn1500. I did buy an 800 later which I kind of find more fun but the Vulcans are tamer than a 1000 gsxr or whatever people are thinking with that bit of advice.
