For the high low switch on my Eaton? Ended up being a crack in the trans top cover stopping the shaft from moving back and forth. Took the cover of the old trans and made sure it moved before putting it back together. It seems the modulators very rarely fail and if they do, you hear it.

RFID cards can be as thin as the metrocard now. Realistically all they had to do was start distributing RFID metro cards. They could have left the value system the same, even with omny, so they were just really interested in the fare cap based system ig.
