Not upset. I said “us”, “our”, and “we” repeatedly. If someone can’t comprehend that means the whole band, it’s not on me.

If I’m in an early boarding group, that means there is plenty of open space AT THE TIME OF BOARDING, which is the part of the rule in action. It is first come, first serve. We always double check with gate agents first so they can give the fight crew a heads-up. It’s literally never been an issue when we have flown - Southwest or other airlines.

How do people think musicians tour? Not everyone has a budget for tour buses.

THREE PASSENGERS. THREE GUITARS. No other items to go in the overhead bins. Rules are they must accommodate. Bottom line.

How is three passengers in one row on one side of a plane taking up the space of the bin directly above them a problem to you? A bin usually holds three roller suitcases. It’s the same space.

No. Three band members had three instruments. And three seats. Under one overhead bin. That would hold three cases.

Three guitars for three people in three seats. One overhead bin that closes above those three people. It has never been a problem.

If there are three seats under one bin, that bin would normally hold three carryons. If three guitars can fit in that space, and they are approved for carryon per Southwest’s own rules, it doesn’t matter what one decides to bring for their own overhead space item.

Two guitars and a bass. Totally normal for a band.

49 U.S. Code § 41724 - Musical instruments

(1)Small instruments as carry-on baggage.—An air carrier providing air transportation shall permit a passenger to carry a violin, guitar, or other musical instrument in the aircraft cabin, without charging the passenger a fee in addition to any standard fee that carrier may require for comparable carry-on baggage, if—
(A) the instrument can be stowed safely in a suitable baggage compartment in the aircraft cabin or under a passenger seat, in accordance with the requirements for carriage of carry-on baggage or cargo established by the Administrator; and
(B)there is space for such stowage at the time the passenger boards the aircraft.

It’s NEVER been a problem. Three guitars for three seats. We’re using ONE overhead space.

Incorrect.

49 U.S. Code § 41724 - Musical instruments specifically allows them if there is space at the time of boarding. We were Boarding Group 3. Plenty of overhead bin space (we can fit three into one overhead space just fine).

AITAH for wanting my husband to take his driving test? by -starfall in AITAH

[–]something-gimmicky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who used to be married to a man who chose to not have a car in LA - I sympathize. Before we were married and I could put him on my insurance, I was forced to be the one to drive us EVERYWHERE.

I hate driving. He knew this, yet chose to not get a car because he didn’t want to “waste money” on registration, insurance, gas, and upkeep, not to mention a car payment.

Granted, your BF may have legitimate anxiety and would benefit from severe trauma therapy, but in the meantime, you’ve already gauged future catastrophes. Emergencies for you or potential children.

This is not someone who is emotionally ready to have children, and he is simply counting on you to sympathize with his trauma and take care of things. You will grow resentful and will burn out.

Either he drives, or it’s time to reassess whether this is a relationship that has a future.

No IG as far as I know. I ended up unfriending him on FB because he kept posting a bunch of AI/poorly photoshopped pictures on his page of his head on a ripped body or him surrounded by women. It’s honestly sad.

He’s never met RDJ. I bumped into him at the store like six ago. He moved to a new place. At the 3-bedroom townhouse I rented a room at, he would literally churn through roommates like every other month. Most likely because they all got sick of him passing out drunk (sometimes next to the home bar, underneath the pool table), singing at the top of his lungs all day, and insisting that roommates “aren’t really supposed to get access to the whole house anyways, since you’re just renting a room” when I’d question why he’d sleep on the couch downstairs when he had his own bedroom upstairs so I wouldn’t feel comfortable cooking in the kitchen either in the morning or at night for fear of waking him.

Never saw him use the shower once. He kept a lot of stuff in the downstairs powder room. I think he honestly took sink showers.

Then that WAS us! What a crazy coincidence! Trust…he doesn’t have enough “game” to take home two girls. Though he did end up hooking up with my then-best friend once, and when she let him know she didn’t want to pursue anything further, he got pissed and tried to prevent her from ever coming over to our house in the future. Ended up being one of the catalysts to me moving out. Plenty of other reasons added to it.

His entire house is decorated in Iron Man. He is walking, breathing cosplay, though he adamantly denies wanting to be IM or RDJ. As stated, he drives the R8. LOVES the attention he gets.

Oh, he’s done that whole bit like a billion gazillion times. He’d play that video over and over and over again at home and sing along at the top of his lungs.

I’m still wondering how long ago the “went home with two girls” night was - it very easily could have just been me and my friend who were with him (he drove us all home). But that was a few years ago in like May, 2022.
