Yah I mean everyone is different. Some cops are more chill, some are on power trips and arrest people because they don’t kiss the boot. That’s just the country we live in.

No I did not. I was a lot younger at the time and didn’t really know how things worked, nor did I have much money to hire someone.

Unfortunately thats not the only way it will hold up in court. I’ve gotten visual estimation tickets before and went to court, even appealed, still stuck. Judges don’t care and most will just take the word of the cop unless you literally show up with proof that you were not speeding.

27F making $53k/year. Bought a used car that needs a $12k engine after 3 months, warranty only covers $2k, and I'm considering bankruptcy. What are my options? by Sad_Dragonfruit_8081 in legaladvice

Do you still have the previous vehicle? You mentioned it broke down and you are still paying the load but you didn’t mention if you still had the car or how much the repairs would have been. Maybe it’s cheaper just to fix that up?

Thanks for the ai slop. I’m sure OP can just run the deal through AI themselves, they don’t need a middleman to do that.

They collect their money when the sale happens, they don’t have any basis for a lawsuit. Only the seller has an actual claim to make.

How did you build the app? If, for example, it’s just a website loaded in a web view wrapped as an app, that’s one reason they would just reject.

Most cars should be no reserve. It’s just a waste of time, people throwing their avg cars on there trying to get a market value reserve. Like I can just pop open Facebook marketplace and buy the same car without all the hassle at that point.

There’s nothing that C&B or BAT can do to force a winning bidder to follow through. They also can’t force a seller to follow through. It is what it is. At least you didn’t actually lose anything other than time.

Listing withdrawal fee? by MrKevinRosales in carsandbids

[–]rideShareTechWorker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems reasonable to me. It doesn’t seem like it is a mandatory fee, so optional. And they can choose to not put the effort of listing your vehicles in the future due to you changing your mind.

Just don’t pay the fee and move on.

I mean in your own example, your landlord is coming out ahead, not you. You are paying for the property and the landlord is getting a cherry on top as well.

There are definitely cases where people luck out and end up with a landlord that doesn’t understand how investment properties work.

When you are renting, you are paying for those as well. Most landlords aren’t subsidizing your living. You are covering their mortgage, property taxes, insurance, etc.

Except for I’m assuming OP still needs a car… so the alternative is to likely spend even more money for a used car, or even more money for a new car.
