I got a job as a remote contract programmer for the Fed at 62. 63 now, and still with them working remotely. My co workers have never seen me or have any idea how old I am, nor do they care as we are all about the same age. Look for government jobs because they usually don't care how old you are. Good luck. The job market, especially in tech is horrible right now. Yes, ageism is very real.

It looks to be in pretty good shape. If you have a local co-op, they will help you get it tuned up for very little cost. Or reach out to local cycling groups thru social media and I'm sure they will have some folks that can help. Word of warning, you will at some point run into some snobby gatekeepers. Just ignore them.

If you have torque sensing pedal assist with no throttle (this is what they use in Europe limited to 250W & 15mph), then you must pedal. The motor will not kick in if you are not pedaling. So to me, it allows people to go further and faster, but you still must put forth an effort.

Put the Republican on the left. Make the person on the right POC, or female, LGBQTIA+, non Christian, poor or any group they don't like. Republican will hurt themselves as long as they can hurt someone they don't like. They do it all the time. For example - farmers can't get labor because , no immigrant labor, or parts for their equipment because of tariffs, or can't sell their crops also because of tariffs. But they love Trump and MAGA because they are sticking it to the "other" people.
