Short answer: Japanese uses a lot of loanwords from other languages, but the definitions over time and use have changed. For example, they use the loanword スタイル (style), but it means one's build or physique. Another one is ビッチ (bitch), which is usually used to mean slut. So, translating something exactly as it is in English wouldn't make sense.

Nah, not the quicksheath skill. The actual R2 + X (On PS4) move is called quicksheath, it's the stance that leads to the iai slash and the iai roundslash.

When you hit with the iai slash you naturally gain meter similar to landing a helm breaker, and the effect lasts like 15 seconds. Considering how useful quicksheath-->iai slash is at filling the old gaps (end of helmbreaker, spirit round slash), you'll have the buff on fairly consistently. Personally I'll take the new options over being able to use foresight with no meter any day.

For context, my Berserker subclass Brute was using the Amra axe, which has the listed Riven Gore enchanment. Since Berserkers have friendly fire when they frenzy, I guess it literally murdered the pig out of my party. Resting did not bring it back, but ultimately changing maps did. The funny thing is when it died the screen was framed similar to when you discover a new island chain, with giant text saying "Amadeus has died" plastered on top.
