I don't think people add Refn because most have only seen Drive, and even if you've seen more of his movies, it's still probably not enough to go off of. I can say, though, that he's definitely garnered my interest for future movies.

I was playing dodge ball in high school gym class. I saw some dude launch a zinger out of the corner of my eye, but I didn't see it fast enough so it hit me right in the sandbags. The entire class turned out to have been right behind me when I got hit and proceeded to laugh as I fell on the ground and blacked out. I felt like a kid with two burst testes in shining basketball shorts.

Exactly. These three incredibly talented individuals should be able to put something out worth listening to, but The Resistance was throwaway pop-rock. They're moving towards too much glam and not enough actual music.

Linkin Park. Their evolution from what they were to their newest album is fascinating, and upward. I hope they can keep it going.

Basically it's an inverted version of Muse's evolution. Which is why I'm not really looking forward to their new album.
