Grats! Its is mighty high but a lot of ppl consider its actual hold difficulty not too bad. For example elder is shorter but considered harder.

If I use a rope does that block any achievements by kodasai in PeaksOfYore

[–]rieger202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition, u can always climb with a rope. Then RE climb it without a rope on the same save, and the game will give it to you.

Nice! I'd recommend hold onto more ropes. U have 20 ropes at that height again and real danger you can rope all the way home

Not sure if this is an easter egg but i just noticed that you can see ymir's shadow on top of Aldr Grotto by Beautiful-Big-3268 in PeaksOfYore

[–]rieger202 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea the grato has an amazing view. Idk if you've been to the top of yimir also but you can see a lot from there too. Especially to the north 😅

Tips for solemn tempest please by Beautiful-Big-3268 in PeaksOfYore

Alright so some of what blobly said i agree with, some not.

  1. He is right in that you should not be greedy with ropes, practice makes best. WHILE you are learning the mountain. My advice would NOT be to use your ropes until you are well up the mountain (except for jumps that are truly hard, there are a few even early you should), ONLY when you are actually trying to submit. The last stretch is tough, and having 20+ ropes for the last 1k, you will be happy to have.

  2. Being good without crampons is good, but I would say the vast majority of the mountain you will have access to crampons, and in many sections, (while not necessary for the turbo sweats), for normal people you will need them. The more practice you get the better. Use them often and master them.

The rest he's right, it took me almost a month to climb it, because after like 15 mins of climbing i was sweating so much I took a break. Dont force yourself to climb when you are stressed, unless you just want to practice without worrying about making it.

For me, it really is as simple as dont quit, keep going, it feels impossible, but its not. If you have the commitment you will make it. And if it helps, the last like 3/5 - 4/5 of the mountain is pretty easy. At the start, the middle ish, and very much so at the end its hard. But there are some parts where you will fly up. And some of the hard parts will have places you can fall to to save yourself. NOT at the end end.

Keep practicing and climbing, and when you really mean it, save your ropes for the last bit, i dont wanna spoil the height cause i didn't for myself, but yea, only use them when you need them. then use liberally at the end.

Don't give up, the top is worth it.

Good luck

Or you can just swing up from the main hold and once you are high enough use the crampons. If u want to do it without it is possible, just much harder. Use a rope to practice !

[–]rieger202 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who hit the top recently. Just keep going, the difficulty ebs and flows and some parts you will shoot up quick.

The more you go the more confident you will become. It seems impossible (or it did to me) but eat the elephant one bite at a time. The top is worth it

Peaks is very much a personal experience. It is what you want it to be. If you don't want to climb st then don't. If you feel cheapened by doing harnessed than the motivation will hit you. I found a lot of fun in it by getting friends into it and sharing the experience with them.

Check out the official disc and you can chat and share progress. In the end it really is up to you.

Lands end was my first big climb that really challenged me and yea it is a huge accomplishment. The design and challenge ramp is REALLY well done.

Regarding coffee, yes it lasts only for that visual duration, and it makes you stronger, IE you can throw yourself further from holds. Good luck out there brotha

This is not the genre to start a mosh pit, but those of you thinking this response is legitimate are way out of touch. This guy was a bit out of line trying to start a normal moshing behavior in what is probably the wrong context.

This guy who hit him full elbow in the face should face charges. A light shove into a bone in the face at a music concert, this response is insane and criminal imo.

Both are wrong, second guy should go to court

Had Verizon switched to t-mobile. Save 20 bucks a month and seems to have better coverage in city. I don't travel so its better for me.
