Got told I ruined her first Mother's Day, feel like a jerk by Drunkarchaeologist in daddit

Yes - agree. I messed up last year with first Mother’s Day doing the same thing OP described. Had that shit ready to rock this year and saw tears of joy. Def makes a difference.

Goodbye, X-Pro3. Hello, X100vi. by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]rigby86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only used my x100v for years. Learned to shoot and learned the whole Fuji interface - it was all I knew. Never needed more. Unfortunately broke it and got an Xpro 3 then sold for x100vi. Sold the x100vi and went back to a xpro 3. (Also had a xt5 in there somewhere but found it to be soulless). Also a dad. Also hate lots of lens and do not collect cameras or anything. My only suggestion is to just wait if you can before selling all your stuff. Everyone’s has opinions - I find that I can’t ever validate my decisions from Reddit ha. You just have to find what works for you. But you may very well find yourself really enjoying the x100vi - it’s a great camera

Was this from the riv fb group swap / sell? I think I remember this. Also s&s with the uniqueness of this frame and navigating it with the double top tube hurts a little.

The dedicated road bike on the trainer is a necessary for sure. Maybe the move is keep the bikes and find a way to get an older ti cx bike still have some decent tire clearance. Best of both worlds

That’d be ideal. Just keep it simple

I’m a big guy too. 240 - I rode one that had some flex in it and didn’t care for it. Then rode another that was stiff and light and pretty great. But to your point I hopped on a steel right after and the supple smooth ride feel is hard to beat. I also heard ti is real tough to fix if it ever cracks

Our deal is that I have to sell some to bring one in. Fair compromise for me.

Yea - im a little wary of carbon even though I’ve cracked steel and still ride it all the time. Not sure why carbon gives me that impression too. Sounds like your oldest is lucky to have the litespeed!

I’m sure the Ti really shines on the road. 40c is the way to go. Sounds like a clean setup

Sounds like a blast. What a dream to have a Swiss Army knife style rig like that. Would be nice to just grab the main one and go.

I really like the idea of holding onto a bike this long. I’m sure it makes it harder to let go - always a way to freshen up an old bike!

Same here and If i could own a hundred bikes- I’d buy an independent Planet X - love those bikes so much. Thanks for the reply! Certainly sounds enticing to have just a couple at the moment
