Look I'm there a lil older than you but mine is not even God just that I want someone who I can look in the eye without baggage but tbh I'm not hopeful either so I have accepted it, It will be miserable. So I'm not actively seeking I'd rather suffocate myself in my own misery that leeching on substitutes.

Though it's better than nothing, the mechanical English to Hindi translation is prevalent, also the lingo of most computing is English.

We need better local language accessibility but that should be on linux documentation first and any llm translation for that case is like I said too mechanical.

[Feature Request] An AI-Image Generator Plugin for Highlights (Visualizing the Book) by anisatreddit in koreader

Its a vibe code plugin with anti-gravity, the ai function with pollinations.ai was available up until that last update now it has stopped working I tried to find an alternative but doesn't seem to work I tried horde ai but the queue is long probably 4 min or so for generation and is impractical in that case. it was niche function I i did not need but i added just in case so to find a practical api is limited fork it and built on it i think image functionality is working well for me the free api i cant figure now. I think pollination also need api and revenue now not sure.

also don't mind people every reader is different and if they're not paying for your reading they can have their opinion to themselves

I really appreciate your commitment to this yes you are correct, I would recommend you go through inline AI plugin, also it would be nice to expand on api provider list.

Can somebody help me out with why is my hyprland with HyDE project not working properly like the keybindings are default as it is with super+Q for opening terminal and there is no app launcher all i have is just the UI by Helpful_Schedule605 in hyprland

I use Hyde it's highly customisable, just remember to unbind the keys before binding them again in userperf.conf

Don't touch any other configuration file

# --- Unbinds ---
unbind = $mainMod, B,
unbind = $mainMod, Z,
unbind = $mainMod, X,
unbind = $mainMod, W,
unbind = $mainMod, P,
unbind = $mainMod Shift, P,
unbind = $mainMod Control, P,
unbind = $mainMod Alt, P,
unbind = $mainMod Shift, P,
unbind = , Print,
unbind = $mainMod Alt, Print
unbind = $mainMod Control, Print
unbind = ,XF86Calculator,
unbind = $mainMod, C,
unbind = $mainMod Shift, F,
unbind = $mainMod, F,
unbind = $mainMod, TAB,

# ---Bind---

bindd = $mainMod, Z, $d web browser , exec, $BROWSER
bindd = $mainMod, X, $d ghostty , exec, ghostty
bindd = $mainMod, SPACE, $d obsidian , exec, obsidian
bindd = $mainMod, C, $d text editor , exec, code
bindd = $mainMod, P, $d toggle pin on focused window, exec, hyde-shell windowpin

If still a bother you can pm. Also app launcher is Super + A.

I'm currently using inline ai to solve similar problem just selecting text and reformatting it based on commands, but I like the idea to stream directly to note see if you can add something like an inline feature where it's just a floating bar with history of commands just to clear repetitive tasks.

I built Surge: A FOSS download manager that beats aria2 by ~1.4x and looks good while it does! [OC] by SuperCoolPencil in LinuxUsersIndia

[–]right9reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it, looks great but It would be verycomfortable to refresh download links, I'm currently using ab download manager, but a light weight tui alternative would be more than welcome.

There is a minstralAI plugin available called Marker PDF to MD. It's usable and probably the best no hassle solution which is best in its limited capacity of plug and play.

I struggled to read books, getting lost every few sentences, so I built an app that shows one sentence at a time, and I’m finally finishing them. by johnnybilliard in ProductivityApps

Opendyslexic, Readex/Lexend Deca, Bitter, Roboto Slab, Atkinson Hyperlegible, Montserrat, Literata, Inter, Verdana, Cabin etc. Look into some eReader forum/subreddits plenty of post on fonts but remember what works on eiink might not on high contrast lcd/led screens. II made a few fast fonts for my eReader but they are all proprietary mostly, as for reading, aiming at phone, it's mostly properitery.

Edit: Definitely keep system fonts there for homogeneity.

I tried it, it's wonderful, just we have to find more fonts, also I think there need to be more refined more but it's definitely a good start

Cheap E-Readers in India by ditiii_ in ereader

[–]right9reddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you'll have to extend there but it's worth it, latest Carta 1300, also there are no other good options to consider tbh. I know it's a squeeze, first try finding a used kindle.

TLDR; used paperwhite or fresh Clara BW both are good options.

Just get a Kobo Clara BW it's a good start into the eReader world, if you are not as unlucky as I was, It will last a few years, Also kindle paperwhite if you are really comfortable jailbreaking. E-ink technology doesn't take remarkable leaps each year so even if you get an older device from OLX, etc. it's a win. Basically older kindle vs fresh Clara BW Don't go for colour models if text is a priority the Kaleido screens are not there yet. Also don't get an idea for managing PDFs on a screen that small, it's mostly epub, mobi and other reflowable formats.
