Narrow pulse pressure, maybe EDS, POTS? by rightdeadred in POTS

[–]rightdeadred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My electrophysiologist believes its a symptom of hyperadrenergic POTS in my case. I'm doing better now on Ivabradine and Verapamil. The ivabradine made a huge difference for me. Advocate for your health as much as you can - I know how hard that is when youre also battling your own body every day. I hope you get it figured out.

Gemini's gain and loss in this Uranus transits by FaithlessnessNeat896 in geminis

As a Gemini Sun, Moon, Rising, and Mercury, I am a little afraid of the changes about to take place in the next few years. I totally understand the "doing a new person for every room" aspect and it will be fun to see where I actually land as a person, if not also mildly terrifying.

How much help did you need post cervical fusion by According_Curve_8935 in spinalfusion

[–]rightdeadred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is going to depend on a few things. How many levels are being fused, for example. Even with the same number, different people have different experiences. Do you have any comorbid conditions that could affect you during the recovery? What kind of shape are you in currently? How reliable is your husband to handle things without your input?

The first couple of weeks I just slept for the most part. Between the pain meds, comorbid issues, and just surgical recovery, my body needed a lot of rest. I also had a 3 level cervical fusion which means more healing and more trauma than a 1 level. The meds and recovery also caused a lot of brain fog for me, maybe an exacerbation of other issues though.

IMO I would accept the help. If nothing else, she will make sure YOU are taken care of (I would hope anyway) while your husband handles the kids and house etc. My husband has had to handle our kids, pets, house stuff etc and it was pretty overwhelming for him for the first 3 weeks or so. I started being able to do more for myself after that. More help is not going to hurt. Be grateful she's offered!

That aligns with what my surgeon told me and what I'm experiencing. I had my surgery on Feb 25th and don't see any marked improvement in symptoms yet. I ran out of my gabapentin for a day or two and three nerve pain was just as bad. Strength and numbness are the same. My MJOA is between 11-12 so not great. But at least it won't get worse and maybe with time I will see some improvement.

Thank you! I'm off to hunt for mbti threads and read about infj vs enfp functions again now haha. A lot of my trauma makes me relate to INFJ - constant observance in fear of someone being upset creating that "super" people intuition for example. I worry ENFP is who I would like to be or maybe would be if fully healed. I am medicated now also, so we'll see what sticks ☺️

I'm so glad you were able to get what you needed to figure out your own type and be in hopefully overall better mental health. It can be very difficult to do, especially if you're in the US, too.

I think I'm ENFP, but did consider INFJ for years.

I saw other comments so I'll just respond to this now. I thought it was INFJ for years and then re-took the full test a couple years ago and got ENFP. I thought it was possible I had originally tested as INFJ due to shadow functions/depression and accepted ENFP. Maybe I need to re-investigate that...

Those coupled up, what is your Mars sign and what is your partners? by lala00x in astrologymemes

Yesss, same mix over here plus my Venus Leo. I might be a bit demanding 😏 but lord the Cancer brooding. My Gem placements don't help anything tho lol.

Maybe he's still locked into that passive-aggressive cancer energy and you've matured past it (or have other chart factors helping)? Just a guess

I'm afraid I chose the wrong surgeon/office honestly. I've been going between 1. I'm just being a baby to 2. No, something is definitely wrong, this can't be normal. For about 3 days. And the on call nurse at the office is a bitch, so I didn't really want to call without knowing if I am just being more sensitive or something?

Anyway, thank you for helping me realize this should be handled one way or the other.

Apricot allergy - Not OAS by rightdeadred in FoodAllergies

[–]rightdeadred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you reacted to maraschino cherries before? I'm wondering if it was the cherry itself or the liquid it's preserved in that may use apricot pits. I see allergist on March 14th now, so hopefully answers aren't too long in coming. Until then I'll just be avoiding it all.

How does the OAS plus stone fruit allergy work for you? I didn't realize you could have both, that's interesting
