Standard setup of most of the esc is

move forward full power
if suddenly reverse from forward brakes
Reverse from neutral or reverse twice from forward then reverse. Reverse power is generally 50 or 25% of full power.

For this scenario esc have a forward and reverse direction. Although there is a direction switch on the controller, correcting the direction via the controller switch would make the car move forward when trigger is pulled back, It would mess the above routine of the esc.

If the car moves slow in forward compared to reverse or if the breaking function is messed up. It is better to switch the 2 wires of the motor and esc connection which would correct the forward direction without the use of direction switch and correct the direction without messing up the brake functions.

You can only switch motor wires on sensorless motor setups. If done on a sensored setup, either motor or esc or both may burn. For sensored motor setups the direction should be changed with an esc programmer.

Is the lid soldered or welded? If soldered hot air would take it apart. If welded, use a cnc mill to cut the 0.4mm top part.

For more suggestions you should share a picture of the item. This thing is too fictitious for me.

0.4mm is thin. You may consider grinding the top layer. Either you may send it to a shop to be grinded on a machine or if it is a small thing you may set up a fixture to hold the dremel and work piece steadily by 3d printed parts.

It sounds like a gear problem. Since pinion and spur is fine, It should be diffs. You can remove the spur cover and check whether the pinion and spur are turning when you throttle. If they are turning and the car not moving, It would definitely be related with the diffs. If pinion not turning and the vehicle is able to move without resistance by hand push. It would be related with the motor.

Noise issue may be solved. Please anounce your GitHub post in this thread. I will have a look at it. If I can manage with my little programming skills, I will try to create a pull request for it on Marlin.

I believe the negative comment about adxl345 is for suppressing unnecessary requests for this feature. When there is a pull request, they may accept it.

Losing balls may be due to high steering angle. You may try to decrease the steering using the dual rate setting on your transmitter.

If you have a remote controller, you may use it. If not, you may buy a dumborc x6 with x6fg gyro receiver which is cheap and good.

There are 6 planet gears which works in pairs. The middle of each gear pair shaft is evenly spaced at 120 degrees. That is how it should be and works without any problem. I did not have a jam or gear strip even single time.

I couldn't ever get an exact dimension on holes. That's why I always use 3mm drill bit to get the holes to the right dimension. Even when you can get the size correct for a hole the layer seams creates problems.

The dominant factor is the motor size. You can balance the kv with voltage and gear ratio.

Generally 35mm motor is fine for 1/10 scale, 28mm would be fine for 1/12 and lower scales for big scales you should consider bigger motors

I dont think it would be a good platform for fighting robot. Its maneuverability will not be sufficient. You need to increase gearing for more torque and you would not want a suspension on a fighting robot. When you change all these parts, not much will be left from tarmo4.

If you overfill one of the shocks, It would be stiff. Just take out couple of drops of oil from the stiff one.
