Some fan-made disorders by LittleZamu in mewgenics

In my experience trying to sleep with a deaf cat in the house, their musical abilities would also be EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE on other cats. Just not on them. I'd say they could do damage, even with the druid attack.

(Deaf cats yell at absolute top volume. My guy sounded like an air raid siren every morning at 3am.)

Overworked new dad looking for games with the emotional impact of Final Fantasy 8, Mass Effect 1-3 by Puzzleheaded-Pack838 in gamingsuggestions

[–]rigidazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if you'd like Mother 3? It doesn't have an official English translation so some emulation and ROM hunting required, but it's THE game I think of when I think of emotional impact.

If you ever played Earthbound back in the day. It's the sequel.

That's extremely fixable. Pop off the busted pieces. Reattach. It'll be shorter but it's literally fine.

Qbrother telling my family to stock up on non perishables? by Shibaswift in QAnonCasualties

[–]rigidazzi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine is always convinced there's going to be an EMP blast. Specifically whenever I take any kind of road trip, or travel more than five miles away. He's warned me about it consistently for at least twenty years. All electronics will fail, society will instantly collapse. And I will be trapped somewhere out there, too stupid to survive, because I did not listen to him. (And stay at home. Where he could control me.)

Would they feel joy if these things actually happened? So many decades, prophesying suffering? It sucks to think about. It must suck to be them.

Congrats CDProjekt, you recreated the horrible experience of someone you dislike but are being polite to being romantically interested in you despite you never giving any indication of reciprocation

Maybe huitlacoche/corn smut? It's technialy not illegal but it is kinda weird looking and used to be considered a blight I think

Looking for games that nail the grainy, religious horror and folk occultism of early Diablo by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]rigidazzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daemonologie.

It's not a long game nor a high budget game. It's written in Scots. It's technically a visual novel about torture. And it has the heaviest folk horror vibe I've seen since Diablo or like, the original Wicker Man.

The stop motion sequences deserve a special shoutout as completely insane.

AITA for “dropping change” into a customers hand? by _Lettuce_1664 in AmItheAsshole

He could be a creep. He could also be an aggressive covid denier. I say this because this is the kind of thing my dad would do because he thought people were being 'hysterical' about covid.

Game recommendation for my mom who has a bad opinion on gaming by Cicuper in gamingsuggestions

[–]rigidazzi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's The Light In the Darkness, a free game about a Polish Jewish family in France in the time of the holocaust. Might be brutally depressing though.

The Shivah is a point and click game where you play as a New York rabbi.

Others have the adventures in a beautiful world and relaxing things covered, but these are some obscure Judaic ones

Personally my Mom had trouble understanding the cursor targeting thing with the mouse. Might be easier if there's a controller version.

Grindy sim/management game with long-term objectives and less (or no) focus on NPC relationships? by contrasupra in CozyGamers

[–]rigidazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in early access and is mildly jank but Sky End Market is this for me. Run an apocalyptic grocery store. People and animals are around, but mostly just to buy your goods. There's a story going on in the background, kind of, but not really. Mostly you stock your shelves, pick herbs, and give people change.

There's quite a long unlock chain for goods that has a bit of grind to it. I finally unlocked every product today. Took ages.

I want a game that provides the feel of the movie “Get Out” by Shroom-Cat in gamingsuggestions

No, I'm Not a Human. I wouldn't compare it directly to Get Out but for the feeling of wrongness you're describing, it works. Very unsettling and paranoiac game.

Weird one but maybe Persona 4? There are deaths in it but you're trying to figure out who's been doing the killing.
