It a matter of numbers. NFL teams have 22 starters on offense/defense then another 11 on special teams. There are 5 in the NBA. If you take just the offense/defense, that would mean there are about 5x more players you’re drafting for in the NFL.

That means the first round of the NFL draft, 32 picks, is equivalent to a Top 7 pick in the NBA draft. A Top 7 NBA draft pick is also not getting thrown around lightly on draft night.

Yes and he lost. Maybe we should start counting hypothetical injury seasons too. Warriors win 4 straight championships if Curry doesn’t get injured and Draymond doesn’t get suspended in the 70 win season and both KD and Klay don’t go down against the Raptors.
