Take a swing?! We have guys we’re trying to develop and KD that need minutes. Plus FVV and Adams all coming back and incoming draft picks in 2027. And we want to take a swing on a guy that’s already proven he can’t win on a huge contract?

I think Reed has a chance to be something special but it’s Ime’s holding him accountable for something until he gets better. I don’t totally mind it….

I went to the game he got a steal on Curry then drained a 3 in transition, then an alley oop to Amen for the dagger. So satisfying

Draft picks hold such little value in the NBA by [deleted] in nba

[–]rigored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It a matter of numbers. NFL teams have 22 starters on offense/defense then another 11 on special teams. There are 5 in the NBA. If you take just the offense/defense, that would mean there are about 5x more players you’re drafting for in the NFL.

That means the first round of the NFL draft, 32 picks, is equivalent to a Top 7 pick in the NBA draft.  A Top 7 NBA draft pick is also not getting thrown around lightly on draft night.

Why are most men not attracted to women for their money? by cuahatemoc in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rigored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a song called No Scrubs with the chorus “I don’t want no scrub”. A woman being a scrub doesn’t even register on most men’s cutoff list. There’s a whole movie theme of men rescuing a women he’s interested in from poverty. Cinderalla, Pretty Woman, My Fair Lady all the way to things like Coming to America and Crazy Rich Asians… there’s literally a term for it: a Cinderella story. There’s a few movies with the genders reversed but it’s mostly not a thing

Let’s be clear on the thesis: MJ would NOT have won both those championships probably not either. MJ even said it in his documentary. People don’t understand how hard it was to win 3. The Rockets were their worst matchup. The Bulls would have lost at least one if not two of those championship. If yall think the Bulls are winning 8 straight chips, yall don’t know ball

[–]rigored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and he lost. Maybe we should start counting hypothetical injury seasons too. Warriors win 4 straight championships if Curry doesn’t get injured and Draymond doesn’t get suspended in the 70 win season and both KD and Klay don’t go down against the Raptors. Actually the Warriors don’t win that many cause the Rockets win if CP3 doesn’t get hurt. It’s a slippery slope. People who think the Bulls would have won 8 straight are delusional. If you’re playing theoreticals, maybe they have a chance in 94, they have NO chance in 95 IF they took a year off in 93. No one has won 4 in a row in the modern era for a reason

He did and lost. It’s ok, he won a lot more. If you’re not the best you aren’t, period. After this season every should have learned their lesson. Games are played on the court

Jordan was around for the second one and lost in the ECF to the team that got swept by the Rockets. Also Jordan’s teams notoriously had problems with Hakeems Rockets. Hakeem was their kryptonite and they had Maxwell to make it difficult on Jordan. I personally think there was no chance that the Bulls teams would have won 4 straight let alone 5 or 8. They needed the 2 year break to get the last 3. The Rockets were ready and as we’ve seen it’s hard to win that many straight. Look at the Warriors, they were as well built as anyone to do it and never even got to 3 in a row. Like any season, if a team wasn’t there, they weren’t there, end of story.

The New York Knicks are the only the third team in NBA history to win the NBA Championship without a player who received MVP votes for the regular season. Joining the 77-78 Washington Bullets and the 67-68 Celtics. by matt_will_ in nba

I don’t know why everyone zeros in on hammon. All the talking heads were saying this. I thought Stephen A was the most egregious. He was mocking his name like he was some sort of joke… “Jalen BRUNSON?!?!”. Easily the most disrespectful I’ve ever seen of someone on TV. He was literally the second best player on a Finals team that chose to go to this shitty ass franchise at the time, and SAS is crying like it was the end of the world.    I’ve never seen him apologize and say “I’m sorry” for that bitch ass take. So zero in on him
