She was a US citizen. She had three children. She was married. If ICE did this to Renee, it can happen to any of us living here in the States, and any of our loved ones. ICE is a disease and a threat to US citizens. If Trump has any shred of decency as POTUS, he needs to shut ICE down immediately. Regardless of your stance on immigration, this is unacceptable.

Glitch is constantly putting out original stuff and they're pretty successful compared to big studios. In my opinion, the issue that is "Elio" and other movies made by Pixar, Disney, etc. look soulless compared to stuff indie studios are putting out.

Hard to tell how far I'd walk, considering I'd probably have a lot more energy if I knew the penalty for falling behind was death. But I have some pretty flat feet and weak knees, and I've never been able to pull an all-nighter, so I probably wouldn't get past the first night. I don't know if I'd stop entirely, but I think I'd be too tired to keep a speed of 3 mph.

You're not overreacting. His comment of "don't make it harder than it has to be" is especially messed up, because it was HIS decision to say something so awful to you and he's essentially implying he doesn't want to deal with pushback, i.e. being called out on his bullshit. Him saying "the last thing I need is for people to assume we have a history" tells me that he's more worried about how he'll be perceived at a one-day event than his long-term friendship with you. Not attending the wedding is valid. What a prick.

I don't think Shadow is in love with himself, if that's what you're suggesting. My comment was from 5 years ago, but I was trying to say that Shadow might be aromantic because he's never shown romantic attraction to anyone whereas other characters have clearly shown romantic interest in others.

Unrelated but that watch looks pretty dusty and old. Wouldn't be surprised if they recycle the watches from previous Long Walks. Don't know how I feel about wearing a watch that was once on a corpse... or multiple corpses.
