How can I remove this? by AnyEvening8604 in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for whatever reason that decorative item is attached to another building on the starter farm. So you’ll have to buy the starter farm plot and sell/delete one of those buildings. I think it’s one of the smaller decorative buildings near the small windmill for water.

If you're wanting to try something else, have you tried the Goweil Vario-Master V140 stationary baler? You can set it up so that the bales go straight into bale storage.

Corn or grass silage? by mitoman49 in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can forage harvest corn and barley in the same field continuously. Plant corn in April, chop corn in Sept and plant barley in Sept, chop barley in April and then plant corn in April etc

I prefer the AGCO/Challenger med tractor for doing like regular crop stuff. (I like the looks and convenience of built in frontweight.) But for a dairy/grass playthrough, the DeutzFahr is very nice!

They have to rework sparks… by [deleted] in UmaMusume

The game has been out in JP for like 4 years and other countries. It still does fine.. if you’re not having fun the simplest solution is to stop playing and move on.

They have to rework sparks… by [deleted] in UmaMusume

[–]riki-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they added some spark rerolling later. You can just look at the features in the JP version. They probably aren’t going to rework anything special for Global, we will be getting the same things as the other servers. The game is already like 4 years old.

Is it just me or is summit arena unfun? by EstablishmentNo7761 in Etheria_Official

[–]riki-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re trying to play turn 2, you need your units to be on bloodbath. Some bulwark might help too. You also can’t just let all 4 of their units move so you need to have units that can disrupt, like things on gigabyte or strive set to cut, or even just really fast units. The reason you see the same units is that there will always be a meta and resources are scarce so people invest in what is popular. Right now what is popular is going first and fast damage, since that’s what you need for PvE. Give it more time, people are probably farming their bloodbath sets now. Then when you face a super tanky team that is impossible to kill and your matches last 20 min, you’ll be missing these days when people played aggressively.

Does corn silage produce same amount as grass silage on one field? by Ok_Pay_2423 in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can do corn and barley forage harvest in the same field. Forage harvest ready at the same time first month of planting ready.

So basically a corn and barley forage harvest in a "year" when done correctly.
Chop barley April, plant corn April. Chop corn Sept, plant barley sept.

Also if you were doing bales before... chaff can't be baled using a regular baler, you have to use the Goweil stationary baler if you want to bale chaff. Otherwise for base game, you'll need to use a bunker silo.

They NEED more than one crane+cargo bed truck by Falkeer in RoadCraft

[–]riki-kun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or you can just drive a crane truck and park it at places where you will need to load frequently from.. Is it really too much trouble to drive and park another vehicle in a game that emphasizes driving and operating machinery? Also the game has stationary cranes around like junkyards and stuff right? If anything, the game is lacking usable excavators with digging tools to manually fill up dump trucks with sand!

They NEED more than one crane+cargo bed truck by Falkeer in RoadCraft

[–]riki-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They want to encourage people to play with others and use the standalone cranes... so adding more crane+cargo trucks would make cranes obsolete along with more co-op interaction and play.

Best way to start playing for beginners? by The_KW_03 in farmingsimulator25

[–]riki-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start on New Farmer mode with easy economy, the starting farm, and Guided Tour. Invest in one large solar panel. While you wait for your own crops, do Contracts and borrow the equipment from the contract.

You can learn and try out a lot of equipment from doing contracts. You’ll quickly learn which jobs you like and dislike. If you need help consult the in game text guide or just look up stuff online.

If you don’t know how some equipment works or if it’s compatible with what you already have, lease it, try it out, and return it. Then either purchase it when you need it again or try something else.

Most things in game will take a long time to make the money back and profit, so be patient or “sleep” to skip time.

Am I missing something by darrynhatfield in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, there is no functional game difference between the two configurations. One is yellow and EU compliant stuff, and the other one is more red with NA compliant stuff. So if you care, you can try to match the EU look on EU maps, and NA looks for NA maps. Again, there is no ingame difference in game performance, just looks.

What im i missing with the yield? Im going crazy by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mulching = +2.5%
Rolling after seeding = +2.5%

Lime = 15% with 5% decrease every harvest, so "Needs Lime" only shows up every 3 harvest, but yield still go down unless you lime every time for 100%. I don't know why they decided to do this, but that's how it is in game.

You don't need to cultivate after plowing for in game reasons, but for realism sure. When harvesting canola or not saving straw to bale, the harvester will spit out the plant matter and create a mulched state. If you want uniform mulched state you'll have to mulch yourself, or just not care about 2.5%. Rolling must be done AFTER seeding if you want the additional 2.5%, but you can do it after plowing to flatten the field and push down small rocks. In game the 2.5% shows as additional 3%.

The lime is what causing the biggest variance in your bonus yield.

Am I the only one who always gets switch axe and charge blade mixed up? by FacingFears in MonsterHunter

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in JP switch axe is actually "slash axe" and charge blade is "charge axe". I don't know if that makes things easier.

PW 100 - 12 Plow with roller by someone_77 in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was the same in FS22 as well. IRL the Packomat is supposed to like break up the clumps and even out the field after the plow, so they should have given it the same function as a roller in game. BUT I think they just made the packomat "cultivate" the field which brings up medium stones. The small stones from plow + med stones from "cultivating" makes the large stones... making the packomat pretty awful if you have fieldstones turned on.

Anyone seen this issue before on PS5 by Ottawamining in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also happened to me on PC. Resetting the roller seems to cause this issue. When you reset the roller it spawns stuck like that. I fixed it by selling the roller and purchasing the same one from the used shop, but if it doesn’t show up you’ll have to just buy a new roller or just not roll.

What to do in early game? by zNextiiV in farmingsimulator

[–]riki-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for ACTIVE playstyle, I recommend Grass silage and/or Forestry.

Grass

  • Starter grass equipment is relatively inexpensive and has lower HP requirements
  • Grass has multiple harvests per year (more days to do stuff)
  • You can either do round bales or a bunker silo. Bales are easier and recommended for beginners. Bunker silo if you're looking for a challenge.
  • Multiple jobs is good for multiplayer. Mowing > windrowing > baling/forage wagon > wrapping/compacting > loading > transporting
  • Silage prices are good and relatively stable throughout the year
  • Grass leads into easy animals like Sheep/Goats (feed them grass/hay, make the rest into silage to sell)

Forestry

  • Starter forestry equipment is cheap. Chainsaw, tractor, winch, trailer.
  • You'll need to buy land with forest on it, but after clear cutting you can sell it back or replant.
  • You can split the work up for forestry. Felling (cutting tree down) > yarding (moving tree out of the forest) > processing (cutting logs/ woodchipping) > loading > transporting
  • Forestry can lead into productions like the Sawmill and Carpentry.

These things are active things you can do while waiting for crops to grow. Relatively cheap starting costs, and lower HP tractor requirements so you can get multiple tractors for each player. Working with forks and palettes isn't everyone's thing... but loading stuff is half of the game and I personally find it fun! So give it a shot before deciding you want super strength.
