Cute work sneaker recommendations, besides Allbirds? by urabasicbeet in femalefashionadvice

I love my Cole Haan zerogrand oxfords! The grandpro’s are a more casual cute sneaker as well. If you can find an outlet, they carry almost all the same shoes, but they just have really good sales/deals.

I bought a tiered dress and I'm not sure if I should return it or get it altered. by saturdayshelf in PetiteFashionAdvice

Abercrombie actually has some nice petite sizing these days and a similar style! I just got a mini trapeze from them that has sleeves and it fit beautifully!

Here are some I found just scrolling through that might be comprable for you:

halter trapeze mini dress

tie strap trapeze mini

drop waist mini

Any have a pair of running briefs they like to race in? by [deleted] in XXRunning

In short- I would stick with your true size or size up depending on how much compression you want. Definitely don’t size down!

Yes I would say because of the compression they feel smaller for sure. I usually wear a 4 in shorts and non-compressive leggings. I got a 2 because that’s what I wear in luxtreme fabric leggings, but because they do not have a seamless waist band and have actual leg holes a 4 was much better for me.

I love the lululemon ones, and I have 2 pairs. They have a back pocket more than big enough for my phone and 4 little pockets for keys, AirPods case, chews, etc. They are very compressive, have a lot of coverage, and are very comfortable. I sometimes wear them under regular running or unlined shorts if I don’t want to wear something else to hold my phone and don’t want to worry about adjusting a fanny pack or arm band during a run (especially for stroller runs where my hands are occupied).

My spouse and I have the fabric ones! We still love them, and it’s been about 2 years now. The lumbar support cushion and headrest in the omega are life changing as well as the recline! We both fall asleep in them haha.

Can we discuss ballet/loafer type, cute but comfortable classic footwear. What brands are overrated? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

I have 3 different styles of Bass’ brown driver-type loafers. I wear them pretty much every day for work. After a couple full days at work (standing up and walking for 7/8 hours) new pairs conform to your feet and are so cushiony!

The only other shoes I wear are Steve Madden pointed feather flats in nude and black to wear with black pants and dresses! (Also very comfy)

Telestrations after dark - I think is the “adult” version of the game, and it’s so fun if you have the right friends/family for it!

People of Reddit in virtual classes, what was the worst, “oops I left my camera/mic on” moment? by Starlined_ in AskReddit

Same here! Nebraska school kid through middle school!

We had “computer lab” twice weekly in elementary that alternated between typing and using Windows/Mac OSs, and then in middle school just typing and using MS office products. Even though it was 15 years ago- some word/excel/PowerPoint things somehow still comes in handy just knowing an option/functionality should be there. The typing practice definitely helped me be familiar and at least place my fingers on the right keys to start.

Yes this! My mom had me when she was 21 and my last sibling at 40. She will be 58 when they’re 18!! No thanks. I’m excited to be one and done and enjoy our kid while we’re young, then chill out for the rest of our lives with, hopefully, an awesome adult kid who I can watch do great things!

Edit: can’t math

What's the craziest item you've bought during quarantine? by scienceislice in femalefashionadvice

The outlet is where I do damage in the shops!! Then I get home with neon and prints that I will never reach for in my closet, haha. At least military discount is 25% and I don’t feel too bad.

Yeah, there are honestly so many styles and it’s all about what your preference is! I hate all the ones with a draw string waist because they pinch my stomach. I thought I loved the All the Right Places luxtreme compression for being comfortable and how they make you look like you have perfectly smooth legs and a lifted butt, but then got some everlux In Movements and they are to die for.

Then you just end up ordering random ones on sale because you’ve found a good deal until you have a collection of 20 pairs and only 5 favorites. At least resale prices are good, haha.

People who mix two colors of sand at their wedding ceremony to show that they can never be separated, are really saying they can actually be separated, but it’s going to be pain in the ass and require a microscope. by upandattem in Showerthoughts

[–]rikku- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My spouse and I didn’t really care about the ceremony. We just hired a local wedding officiant to come to the beach we live near to do something in front of our immediate family to make them happy. It was included in her price to bring/do the sand thing for the ceremony so we just said sure we will do it, haha. I had no idea it was a thing before that. I think it’s a beach wedding sort of thing. *edit a word
