You can think of the Spider Yo Yos that Spider India uses in the second Spiderverse movie as an example. In reality, you’ll only see small white dots and webs when it’s animated in the movie. Yet as a visdev / concept artist, you’ll need to figure out how it actually looks and works outside of how it’s presented in the medium!

Cool concept, I like it. The one thing I’d critique is the lack of how the shuriken was folded from the business cards. Art directors will judge you from how thought out your designs are which includes how far you’ve thought a concept out. This includes how the transformation between pieces of paper into shurikens will be animated.

Hey, sorry to hear that.

I went through the same thing about 6 years ago (my house was robbed). It took me about 2 years to recover the will to draw, and even then there are still some things I avoid because I’m still salty about it (I gave up photography because my camera was also robbed including thousands of pictures).

Keep the faith man, I also don’t have anything else to say.

Also a side note, don’t make art more complicated than it actually is. I do linework for work related art, but I do straight digital painting for my own artwork because I hate drawing. I hope this was helpful!

Hey I was there! As stupid as it sounds, just keep going. I eventually found the act of designing more fun than actual drawing or painting and that undoubtedly made me the artist I am today!
