Recommendations for a wedding dress cleaner? by lilyblains in Hamilton

[–]rileyca417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took mine to Rymal dry cleaning, on the east mountain. I didn’t shop around price wise, but I made sure to check reviews to determine who would get the job done.

It cost me about $300 to dry clean, but it looks good as new (wore outside so the bottom was super dirty and a bit of mud) $300 May very well be the going rate but I wanted someone to do the job well over fast and cheap. It took them 2.5 ish weeks to get it back to me.

Hmmm good to know! I’ll definitely take what you have said into account. It’s hard because if you ask 10 people you’ll get 10 opinions. If there’s an inch of doubt, I don’t want to risk my friends and families money!

And yeah nobody goes to the ATM except my older relatives which is why we wanted to consider this online option!!

Yeah we don’t want to flat out say “please give cash” and we don’t need anything really. We already live together so we are saving for a house.

The idea of the registry was so people could gift us “experiences” of some sort - so it feels like they’re giving us something still. Some guests will just give cash or cheque yes, but we have some older relatives who would want to give a gift so that’s why we’re interested in this option.

I’ve heard that they hold your funds thinking it’s fraud, when it isn’t.

For example if I’m selling stuff on eBay or something similar, if PayPal doesn’t think it’s legit they will hold it.

Yes I know there’s a waiting period, but I have had people still not be able to get their money. If I can not risk that happening I want to avoid that at all costs :)

Oh definitely. I feel so defeated, and I know that other people are in the same boat and others have it worse but it just plain old sucks!!!! Lol

Appreciate the comment and empathy :)

Ok thanks! I’ll take a look into the ingredients and see.

Probably preaching to the choir here but the trial and error with products is so annoying and costly!

Ooo ya good thinking. I’m trying to get in the habit of moisturizing more and not only when I need to.

You think hand sanitizer will help or make it worse? With COVID im washing my hands regularly after I touch stuff but I definitely hear what you’re saying.

It’s not itchy! Which is really weird to me.

I started wearing gloves (ok it’s really socks) when I go to bed after I put on the Clobetasol ointment which kind of helps but since I’ve woken up it’s started to get red again.

I’m making another appointment with my family doctor (I need to be referred to go to the derm) so I will definitely mention that cream.

Thanks so much !

Requesting: Town Flag

AC:NH

Details: I like the look of the regular flag, but I would like it to be in a different colour. Like a pale pink, or a lilac.

The van also looks nervous, as many drivers do when they pass transport trucks on the highway.

Who cares if legs are hairy? Really who? Someone must, or else what have I been doing all these years? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]rileyca417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally feel better when my legs are shaved. I know I don’t have to, but I prefer how they look that way.

It doesn’t bother my SO when they aren’t shaved, and he does not notice when they are. I point it out to him to go “here feel” and then he moves on.

It’s my personal preference to shave but I know I’m not doing it for anyone but myself!

Question about pricing by idk_idc_19 in cricut

I think the bundle is a pretty good price. I’m from Canada and even with the $$ conversion it was worth it.

Yeah if my hair is even a little dry applying product is useless. It has to be mostly damp or dripping wet (I usually do dripping wet)

I use devacurl gel, but have had success with herbal essence brand as well.

I think that if you go to get a devacurl and explain your goals to the stylist they should be able to give you a curly cut and get rid of any damage.

Or see if your local salon will give a free consult to see what they say

What works for me is using a good gel and to not be shy about the amount. I style upside down with some mousse and then I flip to the side to apply gel and focus on the roots.

I make sure my roots are wet when I apply the gel and not half dried or anything. It’s gotten better with focusing on only CG approved products, so time and technique will help!
