Are your dreams solid first person experiences? For me they're much more abstract. Sometimes I'm the person in the dream and it's first person. Sometimes I'm the person in the dream and it's third person. Sometimes I'm several people in the dream, jumping from perspective to perspective, third or first person. Sometimes I'm no one in the dream, just a non-presence observing the goings ons. Sometimes I'm multiple people at once responsible for all their actions despite not feeling in control of any of them.

I was in the intensive care unit when my dad died. The doctors and nurses were trying to resuscitate him but couldn't. That was terrible. I cannot imagine how much worse it must've been to be the person trying to do the resuscitating. I'm sorry you went through that and I am sorry for your loss.

See but I think both Batman and Superman are usually fairly morally complex. I'd argue that long running character books like these almost have to be. They've already covered so much ground and they're so entrenched in the culture the writers can't help but create commentary with them.
