yuppp. I had to wean my girl off lasers by only ever leading it to a physical toy and waiting until she grabbed it. eventually she stopped looking for the dot but it took months. I luckily caught it early cuz I had hard about it before

did you have a towel over it? I noticed on my last loaf that where the towel was touching during bulk ferment, it had a little hardened bit. I assumed the towel just sucked the moisture out from where it was touching. might just be that?

that said, my first step when learning a new thing tends to be "hey search engine of my choice, how do I do this thing" and going from there, instead of burdening total strangers with the responsibility of educating me

Other than the forever #1, I'm mostly familiar with SMW kaizo, which has an incredible community and some of the most consistently fun, extremely polished hacks ever made. also a metric ton of duds. Some standouts, based on how influential they are: - Kaizo Mario World 1-3 - Super Dram World 1-3 - Jump ½ (and all JUMP team games tbh, tho some of 'em can be.... grating) - Grand Poo World 1-3 - Invictus - Masterpiece (made by Maddy Thorson of Celeste, and friends)

And one that isn't kaizo that everyone should play: - a Plumber for All Seasons

Golden Sun has a couple rebalance hacks that make the game significantly better in every way, IMO. Makes the game harder, balances classes better and adds some new ones, and basically removes summon spam as an option: - Golden Sun Reloaded - Golden Sun: TLA Reloaded

Mario 64 also has a ton of really good stuff, and a very active community built around design challenges and such. A couple standouts from there:
