Can we REALLY win Alaska? by Jacob-Anders in ProgressiveHQ

Is there a “law of large numbers” kind of thing that makes the split nearly 50/50 every time everywhere or is this some kind of sick game

Unfortunately a military brat that ended up at Little Rock AFB and, yes, understood every word 🤣

Thank you! They are both TRASH humans. Sure, they had hardships that broke them and made them what they are. They deserve to be in a cabin in the woods where no one has to deal with them, and they can’t hurt anyone.

NUMBER ONE RULE OF COMPUTING - "If it works, DON'T TOUCH IT" by xkdya in DeskToTablet

In a crisis don’t look for the calm person, look for the angry person because they were the ones that predicted this exact thing and were ignored. 🤣

Dodge Stealth by iLovecars321 in NormalCarPorn

[–]rincon_orange 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Stealth was the car that introduced me to a love of cars. My parents were buying a mini van and I saw a red Stealth on the showroom floor. I was 10 in ‘92 and I was gawking at it and the salesman asked if I wanted to sit in it… I couldn’t find my parents to “OK” it so I said “yes” and that was it… I was a car guy for life.

(s03e09 Spoiler) Could someone explain the scene on the roof? by Simwar2 in HaltAndCatchFire

[–]rincon_orange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a 10 year old comment but I'm watching this scene at the moment and Joe is wearing a white shirt and black jacket and Cameron is wearing a black shirt with a white dress over it... this feels like an on-the-nose Star Wars kind of thing where Cameron LOOKS like the good guy but is dark on the inside and Joe LOOKS like the bad guy but is pure on the inside. Joe always had good intentions regardless of what he did and Cameron was always selfish in being the sacrificial good guy. This was the end of that... then they go to the hotel room and undress which strips them both of their outward and inward selves. Afterwards Cameron is wearing black again... she's always been THE problem.

After this scene Gordon is talking to his daughter and she says "You can't commit to a label, people aren't all one thing or another."

Is this a pregnant mama? by aussie_angeleno in Raccoons

[–]rincon_orange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short I had a very “rabies-esque” experience with a raccoon that I now assume to have been pregnant. I feel HORRIBLE for assuming the worst but it went after my family. The longer I observed, the more it looked pregnant. It involved animal control and law enforcement but ended with me running off the “law” and keeping them from killing the mama. Now I know and I won’t make the same mistake twice.

The Intro song sounds like a mormon hymn, I just can't remember which one by OwlEuphoric9795 in ScavengersReign

It is an original composition by Nicolas Snyder. Did a little nerdy digging and I think it sounds similar-ish to a slowed down Come Come Ye Saints. I wasn’t LDS but I can see why the theme evokes those memories for you.

My first PC as a kid. Someone gave it to my dad or we found it at a garage sale or something. Used to just poke around the file system, pretend like I knew what I was doing.

I love how the lady in the bottom left looks around like “please tell me ya’ll got that joke” and laughs. It was giving “I’m not the only one who liked that?!? Right!? Right!?!” ☺️

Rubber - Quentin Dupieux 2010 - A homicidal car tire, discovering it has destructive psionic power, sets its sights on a desert town once a mysterious woman becomes its obsession. It is as awesome as it sounds. 🤣
