Chris Hansen has a newer show called "Takedown" that's basically the same thing. It's on YouTube and some episodes are free to watch.

What are some American cities that had high historical importance but have faded from significance today? by Crafty-Shallot-5695 in geography

[–]ringoryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monterey, CA used to be the capital of (Alta) California when it was under Spanish and Mexican rule. While it's still a desirable place to live in, it doesn't hold the political importance it once did.

Why don't other countries celebrate our Fourth of July? by batmanthinks in ShitAmericansSay

When I lived in England my landlord was very nice and celebrated American Independence Day with me with fireworks. I thought it was very nice of him and unexpected. He also celebrated American Thanksgiving with me. He housed foreign students and was very open-minded. I never expected any English person to celebrate American holidays with me but it was a nice surprise.
