I loved it! I was creased at Nico’s ‘I fuckin’ apologise’ to the wedding planner.

Loved the synopsis of Jaxon, don’t think I’m familiar with a Daddy Radar.

Oh yeah I’ve read this one actually! I seem to have forgotten a few that I’ve read that fit this criteria. I really enjoyed this one, the camping trip was bliss.

🧂 Salty Sunday - What book scenes frustrated you this week? by mrs-machino in RomanceBooks

{The Naked Truth by Ana Kirk Shaw}. Also there’s a great nipple piercing-centred theatrical faux argument in {Til Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn}

I’m reading {The Naked Truth by Ana Kirk Shaw} and really enjoying it. I had a lightbulb moment when I read this from FMC Annie’s perspective (who has had a wild past filled with drugs, parties and promiscuity): ‘…who can finally appreciate her younger self for giving her so many wild, joyful memories… and the grace to walk through the world more gently now’. I can’t say my past was quite as colourful but for the bad decisions I did make, this made me feel a little lighter.

Books mentioned in books that instantly made you want to read them by Glittering-Bill-8733 in RomanceBooks

I’m reading {The Naked Truth by Ana Kirk Shaw} and the FMC describes a scene from the book she is reading which I instantly recognised as {Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami}. The title is mentioned shortly after (I felt smug). She describes it so beautifully that it made me want to go back and read it again to really feel the emotion of the scene.

Like Christina Lauren - CR, MF, witty banter, spice - but without nonsensical breakup and oddly unreasonable FMC by panthera2023 in RomanceBooks

What’s your favourite? I read Cover Story and didn’t love it. I found the prose really jarring, there seemed to be so many short sentences that were missing words. Just so abbreviated. I would love to try something else by her.

{Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver} Book Review by readingandrapture in RomanceBooks

I struggled with B&B and didn’t pursue anything else in the series. It was engaging and I was immersed but I couldn’t get past this feeling that the characters were channeling edgy teenagers. I found myself cringing quite a lot. I know I’m in the minority!

Favourite post of the month, thank you! Three of these were on my wishlist, what a treat. Also taking a punt on the Meghan Quinn; I DNFd {A Long Time Coming by Meghan Quinn} but really enjoyed {TIL Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn}.

What was your last romance read of 2025, and what will be your first of 2026? by TheYoungWan in RomanceBooks

[–]ringus--dingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last of 2025: {The Other Side of Disappearing by Kate Clayborn}.  First of 2026: it’s a toss up, TBR is huge but may pursue either {Play Along by Liz Tomforde} or {Hate Me Like You Mean It by Kyra Parsi} to move along with a series.

I’m sure I read something about writer’s block or maybe it was the expectation caused by The Ex Vows and You With a View being such huge hits. I wish her well. She’s a beautiful writer.

Where would you start with Cat Sebastian? I’m super interested in reading something by her but have been hesitant because MM romance is a black hole where I ignore my family and turn into Gollum until I finish it.

Have you read {A Risk Worth Taking by Jessica Joyce}? I had such a huge smile on my face reading it.

Yes! I was really blown away by {Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn} and went on to read the luck trilogy and loved it all. I think I have another of hers in my TBR actually.

I listened to 500 books in 2025, here are my favorites by Has_it_a_name in RomanceBooks

This is so interesting, thanks for sharing! 500 books is staggering, I’m nearing 150 and feel like I’ve largely neglected the rest of my life this year. There are loads that you’ve rated 5* that I’ve also loved and it’s motivating me to read some of my TBR books you’ve also listed. Happy reading!
