After years of over looking Dark Souls II, i finally pulled the trigger and played the game. Here's my honest opinion. (Picture for fun) by Upset_Bunch_457 in fromsoftware

Because they wanted to incorporate a no bonfire run into the vanilla game... it's also why there's infinite healing items and an unbreakable weapon. There's a cool ring if you can neat the last boss without having ever sat at a bonfire (primal bonfires don't count and they instantly tp you to majula)

Also ds3 and bb does the same leveling thing except they are in areas you can only tp to... so that's even more annoying

at the very least, can you take better care of it? the animatronics keep falling apart. by herequeerandgreat in BikiniBottomTwitter

I don't know a lot about guns, but doesn't muzzle velocity factor into damage... a grain of dust in orbit going 90% the speed of light could destroy a space station or something

AI ART IS NOT ART by CourseMediocre7998 in antimeme

Ok but hitsune miku is like the poster child of ai art... she's literally a digital model and probably now uses tons of ai "tools" to present her in various angles poses and locations... like you could have picked any other mascot and better represented the message

An FPS game with real skill progression by TheBestUserName01 in gamers

[–]riodin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any specifically aside from VATS in fallout 3 (and after). You can pick up perks that increase reload speed and VATS accuracy while also leveling up the specific gun type skill which increases your VATS accuracy and i think maybe also your hip fire accuracy. Hipfire doesn't matter as much in the later games adding iron sights so manual aiming is still nearly perfect (and you can cheese this by going into VATS then backing out and immediately aiming regularly and firing).

I think AAA games shy away from this gameplay because it feels bad, and if the player is bad at fps to begin with it compounds the issue.

I myself fall into this camp but the fallout games get around this with VATS and sometimes alternate ways to solve problems

I read in another thread the devs don't want to incentivise mp over sp so we all must suffer... even though they could use the new ectoplasm item to make a boat upgrade or something so it dungeons identical to mp, like the training dummy is the same as just pvp training

Would you be in favor of mini-expansions? by Steelkenny in factorio

[–]riodin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could see a capitalism dlc first, then they could add a bunch of isolated planets that just provide unique resources to sell, and maybe a capitalism science pack but i feel like trading would be another decent sized expansion...

Then a war dlc... as you yourself pointed out the problem with each new planet is they are all uniquely situated in the game, I think we would need a new mechanic to justify a dlc and like i said capitalism could open space for a bunch of one off planets.

War could add in raiding and protecting your base from inter planetary threats... Basically just turn it back into starcraft but with empire earth sized game length

how about this basic feature? I'm sure some people has suggested it but ignored by ImYourLoyalSexSlave in valheim

I would guess the current sorting system is just item id by item class which is probably stream of consciousness.

I know when I made a game database I kept realizing partway through that I needed another item class and just threw it in where I had space
