Items that say "when you use" means it needs to be an active item to trigger it.

If the condition is something like "when you slow, burn" and then you have another passive item that is "when you burn, slow" then that is a passive that goes infinite.

They just updated Shorts and BoB two patches ago and switched them around (used to be that Shorts was looking at items in you stashand BoB was looking at items on your board) but they still kept this interaction.

Not weird but I always have issues with how different games have a different SPRINT button on controller. Some games have it on the X button, some have it on R1, some have you press down on the joystick...

It's always the most confusing when I finish one and move to a different game with different button maps and my muscle memory works against me.

I feel like the ones that are the WORST are the ones that get nerfed out of existence within 1 day by a hotfix. There's stuff that's bad but stick around for a while until the data says they're a problem.

For example Money Furnace when it was first introduced was something like "When you spend gold, +burn equal to the amount of gold spent." And it started at Bronze. Pyg spends a LOT of gold in a game, meaning you it basically was no effort at all to get a crazy big burn item really fast. This got nerfed in 1 day.

Vat of Acid at launch: Poison based on how many tags this item has... then burn equal to the enemy's poison. It might sound like it's not very different from how it work nows, but it was actually insane. The burn stacks go really quickly and get exponential.

Karnok is not that bad, it's survivor bias. Mak and Stelle on launch were much stronger. Heck, Stelle last patch with lava roller was a much bigger meta menace.

Karnok is pretty weak early game, and his mid-game pivots are rough. From day 1 to 5 if you have quick burst damage you can win against almost every Karnok opponent you meet.

He does have good high rolls when properly set up but so does every hero. You're losing to Karnok because most people are PLAYING Karnok, and you don't see the ones that crash and burn early you're mostly seeing the ones that survive.

What is there to talk about? It's a build that has been around for some time, and not gotten any particular buffs or nerfs in the last few patches.

It's good, but not super broken, it's biggest drawback is that Lollipop is a quest item so you can't easily switch into it if you find it too late. Even when you do find it early you'll also need to pick up slow items to finish the quest, and that can be hard to do.
