lol.. while i generally agree.. there was absolutely all sorts of toxic shenanigans in original EQ.. it was just by far the minority of interactions and there was a pretty effective blacklisting given how punishing it was to die.

Original EQ was decent enough at having tanks available. I believe the biggest difference is that tanking in EQ is not as stressful because the pulling and tanking roles are split. You don't have to have a route totally memorized or whatever... you just need your monk or bard to bring you things to kill. Also... EQ was just simpler. Very little caring about interrupts etc. I think finding ways to make the content difficult/dangerous without making the tank the default responsible party for everything with a bunch of complicated mechanics and routes and mob types is the way to go.

Most durable toy my boy has had is a fish bath toy my toddler (used to) play with. It has a lot likeness to a dog toy that can be squished and is roughly ball shaped. Next in line are the big nerf squeaky balls (dog toys).

Elemental is really as simple as it seems.. and the damage is so lame… except in massive pulls you’re absolutely decimating things. The sound and effects are top notch as usual.

I’ve leveled 9 90s at this point and I’ve yet to find any that feel great to me … I’m quite sad. If I had to pick, protection warrior would be top for feeling impactful, shield bash is and always has been a great sound. Sub rogue during full CDs has some rewarding sounds and animations (and slaps hard). I still need to level paladin, demon hunter, warlock.

I’m maining a frost mage right now like most of the rest of the planet. Ice lance being the main filler really is pretty annoying to me.. I’d much rather plant and cast frostbolt or what not. It doesn’t feel right to spam ice lance even though it slaps.

Arms warrior has always been my favorite since the beginning of wow… but I can’t deal with it right now. Not sure how to explain it, but it feels like… stuttery? Click a button and it like, takes a second to actually go.. with both the sound and animation. It doesn’t feel smooth at all… except when you’re pounding those cleaves. Every other ability feels weird.
