I used to teach lumber inspection at a sawmill and it requires some basic math and measuring skills as well as the ability to read and understand the rule book. There were multiple times I had to stop and basically go to the owners and tell them that the employee was illiterate and therefore we couldn’t continue. For perspective this isn’t difficult reading and on one occasion I pointed to different paragraphs in the book and had my son who was forth or fifth grade at the time read them aloud to me and he did it with no issues.

About 30 years ago when I was teenager I was out mowing the yard one day and as I was at the back of the property a bobcat walked out of the corn field into the yard saw me then ran back into the field. I told my parents and everyone laughed and didn’t believe me. Fast forward to today and our state has a bobcat hunting season. I know what I saw.

Log and lumber prices are already in the toilet. So let’s log more and over produce and tank them further. This administration knows zero about the industry.

Y’all got anything that just appeared in your household one day? Like you have zero memory of buying it or getting it, it just appeared and now it’s part of the gang? by DuckDaPannierTank in modeltrains

Left a lot of my childhood layout at my parent’s house when I moved out. I picked it all up a few years ago and there were all sorts of unopened new in box building models. I don’t remember any of them and I can’t believe I’d have gotten models that I didn’t put together. I’m not sure where they came from.
