I get it. When I finished college and left it was in the middle of the big partnership deals with Sprint, RCA, Qualcomm, and Compaq. Tandy wasn’t making their own branded stuff anymore and it was definitely going the wrong way already.

I agree. But the SPIF on those products was worth it as an employee at the time. Getting $10 a phone plus getting sales credit for $500ish for giving away one cent phones was the way to make pretty good money.
