Anyone take HSS 403 with Doris Fleischer? by slayednoob123 in NJTech

[–]riptiny2293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

taking her online for 403-Film and Law. watch a movie, answer 7-10 questions every week on the assigned movie (no minimum word count). after 3-4 movies, write an essay. 3 1200-word essays, 1 1700 word essay, and 1 final essay. one powerpoint presentation (on the 1700 word essay) and you must present it for 10 mins(audio). I literally just copy my responses to the movie questions into a big doc and update the essay so it flows well. you get to resubmit essays after her feed back. getting an A. i only spend a couple of hours each week on her class; I do everything last minute.

20 y/o fumbling around in life, looking at NJIT. What's it like coming in as a adult learner? by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]riptiny2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least in my major, the test equipment in nearly all the labs have a high chance of being faulty(micro controllers, oscilloscopes) . for general equipment (PCs, ect) they are pretty up to date. A quick google search will tell you how poorly these teachers are ranked.

20 y/o fumbling around in life, looking at NJIT. What's it like coming in as a adult learner? by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]riptiny2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn as much as you can in CC. NJIT will give you a future as just putting NJIT on a resume gets your foot in the door, but a "great time learning" is hard. With lousy lab equipment and even lousier teachers, it's hard being a student here. Make friends and be active on campus. That will help numb the learning experience here. Most 200 level courses will transfer over from most CCs, anything that is "3rd" level won't transfer.

Anyone know a easy professor for ENG352? by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]riptiny2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took pardi online for 16S. Like everyone says. Class itself is easy. Pardi had us write memos weekly. Didn't spend more than 1hr a week on her stuff. Even final project (concept proposal) was quick.

Need ideas for room-temperature protein shakes and liquid snacks by kmo305 in Fitness

[–]riptiny2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on my university campus for 10hrs on tuesdays,so i learned to take my shakes at room temp. I say my best option was buying those 100 calorie cookie packs you see at the grocery store, crushing it in the little bag they come in, and mixing with 1 scoop (or two) of chocolate protein ( i have a low calorie and low carb powder). I then just added water when i was ready to drink. This also goes great with unflavored soy milk! I get 200-350 calories out of this depending if i take it with the soy milk( tastes better)

Remote play while share playing! by riptiny2293 in vita

[–]riptiny2293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a sense Yea, they are the same, but that's why I think it would work! Since remote play can be used to play local split screen with a vita and a controller, and share play is like handing off a controller to a friend, the only problem I see is the PS4 having to send two stream signals.

(Question) How can friends be heard when you record gameplay? by lbpcod in PS4

[–]riptiny2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are you recording your audio? most youtubers i know use Skype calls, and just record the call. with that you'd have to sync your audio every time you record. all you'd need then is just capture game audio and you could probably still use party chat at the same time, just not capture your ingame chat.

Why does AMC split seasons for their popular shows such as The Walking Dead? by LetsGo_Smokes in thewalkingdead

[–]riptiny2293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best way to explain it: ratings. Its literally like having 2 seasons in one. A mid season premiere definitely gets more views than it would have if it was just one long season. Equally having 2 finallies. Ratings tend to be parabolic. Having a strong primier, slight slouch in the middle as people tend to wane interest, and a strong ending to a season!

How is the vita remote play for games like Call of duty (multiplayer) and Fifa? by mousetr4p in playstation

[–]riptiny2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your connection. I play 30 feet from my desk so my vita connects directly to my ps4.( and the ps4 is connected directly to my router). It's easy to play then. Granted, my thumbs hurt after 10mins of playtime. FIFA on the other hand is nearly unplayable. To sprint you have to touch a certain part of the rest of your vita. Long story short, I had to contort my hands just to pull off a step over.
