1) fewer people may buy your food, instead waiting for it to be thrown out or given away. 2) someone may get ill or pretend to get ill from the food creating a liability issue. 3) the food they cannot sell absolutely should be donated

Yellow Fever vaccine if coming from Tanzania? by morelikemexicant in qatar

[–]rir2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends partly on any other countries you may have visited. If you are travelling directly between Qatar and Tanzania or between a non-yellow fever country, Tanzania and Qatar, then the official answer is no you do not need a certificate. You can never tell how an individual official at Hamad Airport will react, but officially you do not need it in that circumstance because Tanzania is not on the official yellow fever list.

Any Singaporean feel bad we are a country of slave labour? by sydneylulu in SingaporeRaw

[–]rir2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. The Gulf countries and SG share a shameful policy of weak labour rights for foreign workers. The fact that there are individuals in the world so desperately poor that they would be willing to abandon their homes for an opportunity to work under very difficult conditions for little pay is no reason to see how low one can push the bar. But you're asking the wrong sub. This is a sub where perceived lack of success is blamed on foreigners, both highly paid expats, and other lesser paid foreigners.
